While the big expectation of the 124th Derby del Sole was for the Roman gladiators to win at the Olimpico, the sun decided to shine equally for Napoli too.
For Roma the debut of Menez and Julio Baptista in the Serie A, although, Baptista made a good impression in the Supercoppa Italia against Inter.
For Napoli it was the time to see the Argentinian forward duo in action German Denis and Ezequiel Lavezzi. Napoli coach Edy Reja did not disappoint and grant the wish to Napoli fans by having in the starting lineup Denis and Lavezzi.

In the 29th minute, it is Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani to open the score after a cross by Daniele De Rossi. Aquilani shoots with the right from the center of the area directly to the right corner blasting Napoli goalkeeper Iezzo.
AS Roma 1 - 0 Napoli
In the 54th minute ruining the party for Napoli fans was the sent off of Napoli defender Fabiano Santacroce for accumulation of yellow cards.
However, just a minute later, in the 55th minute, Napoli equalizes the score with midfielder Marek Hamsik!
AS Roma 1 - 1 Napoli
You might think is a bad result, but at the end rather than losing the entire 3 points, both teams take 1 point.
Sure, for the Roman gladiators with their clear objective to be a serious candidate to win the Scudetto is not a good result. Yet, considering that yesterday Italy's Champions "INTER" also got a 1-1 draw with Sampdoria both teams have time to catch up.

Napoli is a fine team, I like them but if Roma wants the Scudetto they cannot lose games like this. Last year they had a terrible time giving up late goals and being unable to hold a lead. It happens again. They have to clamp down on teams.

Kenntak, man, I hope we don't have to go through another agonizing year with Roma and Milan, man, these teams got to start winning now and not conceding goals in the end. Man, they should win with more than 1 goal difference. Roma redefined this season stronger with Riise and La Bestia giving more solid attack and defense. What's your take?

Wow, incredible, Napoli could have won this game. Hamsik is an animal, he is a great player, I hope Napoli can keep him for a long time. This game proved the Napoli is a force to be reckoned with. Great buys by the club, this is a solid team through and through.
