Wow, it feels so much energy seeing the rossoneri making their entrance to San Siro.  Much expectation for Ronaldinho and for Milan to win this match while Bologna fans dream to start with a victory in San Siro

Here is the starting eleven chosen by AC  Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti Abbiati; Zambrotta, Maldini, Kaladze, Jankulovski; Flamini, Pirlo, Ambrosini; Seedorf, Ronaldinho; Inzaghi.

Surprisingly, Andriy Shevchenko is on the bench and cameras  make close ups to get his expression as a returning Prodigal Son in San Siro. Good to see forward Filippo Inzaghi back in action and living legend Captain Paolo Maldini as well as Kakha Kaladze recovering on time for this  match.

Here is the starting lineup chosen by Bologna coach Daniele Arrigoni Antonioli; Zenoni, Moras, Terzi, Bombardini; Mingazzini, Volpi; Adailton, Amoroso, Valiani; Di Vaio.

Wow, San Siro is full!!!

Ronaldinho making his move and in the 16th minute Clarence Seedorf sends a cross to Ronaldinho who tries a header but he is out.  Dinho keeps trying and AC Milan defender Marek Jankulovski sends the pass to Ronaldinho shoots from the distance and it's off target.  Oh no!!

Unbelievable, I can't believe it. In the 18th minute, a cold shower in San Siro and Ronaldinho better start scoring because BOLOGNAAA SCORESSS.  Zenoni sends the pass to Adailton on the edge of the area who passed to forward Marco Di Vaio shooting from about 10 yards to the far corner and BAM, BAM, BAM blasting AC Milan goalkeeper Christian Abbiati.
AC Milan 0 - 1 Bologna

Wow, what a great start from Bologna!

First match after being promoted from the Serie B to the Serie A and making their first goal against AC Milan in San Siro sending the cold shower to the thousands of Milan fans and to paradise for the few Bologna fans surrounded by the Rossoneri.  Way to go Bologna.

Time for the Rossoneri to wake up and smell the coffee because they cannot afford to start the season with a defeat.  Their main objective being out of the Champions League is to win the Scudetto and the UEFA Cup.

Wonder what will Ancelotti do?  Most of all, I am wondering when is RONALDINHO going to score with so much hype about being Ronaldinho Showtime...

So far, the show is coming from BOLOGNA.

In the 35th minute, Milan had a great combination between Ronaldinho and Super Pippo Inzaghi. Dinho sends the cross to Inzaghi who goes close to the net but Bologna goalkeeper Antonioli being so close that Inzaghi could not center the ball well hitting the side netting.  What a chance!

Hey, hey, hey, wow, finally!   Just almost at the end of the first half and Milan equalizes the score! In the 41st minute, it is midfielder Massimo Ambrosini heading the ball from the center of the area to bring peace to the 60,000 rossoneri fans in San Siro after getting a cross from RONALDINHO blasting Bologna goalkeeper Antonioli
Ac Milan 1 - 1 Bologna

Cameras show a happy and smiling Milan Owner Silvio Berlusconi.  Imagine he came to the stadium to watch the much awaited debut of Ronaldinho.  Let's hope he won't be disappointed.

In the 46th minute, Milan coach Ancelotti tries to create a more offensive formation and substitutes defender Marek Jankulovski for forward Andriy Shevchenko making his RE-DEBUT in San Siro. Wow, so happy to see SHEVA again wearing the rossoneri jersey.  Forza Sheva!!!!

It seems is not a day for Ronaldinho neither for Sheva missing chances to score.

In the 69th minute, Ancelotti makes his second substitution a forward for another forward. Inzaghi is out and is time for Brazilian Alexandre Pato.

August 31, 2008 San Siro Italian Serie A Week 1  AC MILAN - BOLOGNA - Here is Brazilian forward
                                                     Alexandre Pato battling against Bologna.

Oh no, this is it!  Totally unbelievable and unacceptable by such a big club like AC Milan and all the top shots Ronaldinho, Pato, Sheva, Seedorf, and Inzaghi.  Neither of them able to deliver the winning goal for Milan. Yet, in the 79th minute it was Bolognia Midfielder Valiani shooting from outside the box to blast again AC Milan goalkeeper Abbiati.
AC Milan 1 - 2 Bologna

Nothing to say, but Bologna coach Daniele Arrigoni deserves all the honor for having done his homework and transmitting to his players that they could win, and they are winning.

Wow, guys, you should see the face of Berlusconi and Milan VP Adriano Galliani!  Hello, hello, they specifically demanded Milan coach Ancelotti to win the Scudetto and I am sure this is not the way they wanted to start the season and neither do I.   Come on... Milan.
