FIRST RESULT Week 1  Honduras 0 - 3 Italy.

SECOND RESULT Week 2
Italy 3 - 0 South Korea

Good morning my friends,

Match already starts and  here is the formation chosen by Italy Coach Pierluigi Casiraghi:

ITALY (4-3-2-1): Viviano, De Silvestri, Bocchetti, Coda, De Ceglie, Dessena, Nocerino, Montolivo, Rossi, Acquafresca, Giovinco.

SUBS:. Consigli, Motta, Cigarini, Criscito, Candreva, Russotto.

Well, it seems Casiraghi is making the right decision.  Cagliari forward Robert Acquafresca and Juventus Sebastian Giovinco as forwards. Dessena and Montolivo and Giuseppe Rossi, the expected ones.

We are set for this ride, first minutes of the match and Cameroon showing they are here to win.  Wow...

In the 5th minute, first dangerous move and Cameroon pressing the Azzurrini.

In the 7th minute, it is BABY JUVENTUS GIOVINCO to shoot but not strong enough.  It's ok, calm down... keep concentrated.

Gee.. come on, in the 9th minute, my favorite guy Robert Acquafresca is offside just when he was in front of the net!!!!

In the 14th minute, No, way, JOSEEEE
Penalty for Cameroonnnnnnnnnn for a foul committed by Bocchetti. .... geeeee Oh my gosh.. now I hope Goalkeeper Viviano won't disappoint me since I have been cheering all alone for him..... one on one.... Chedjou against Viviano... uffaaaa YESSSSS VIVIANOOOOO SAVES!!!!! Unbelievable!!!!!!   Super Viviano saves a penalty!!!
Cheer leading time for Viviano...

Go Vivivano, Go Viviano, Go Viviano....

Guys, Cameroon keeps pressuring and Italy seems losing concentration. I hope they go back to the match.

In the 20th minute, we already got 2 yellow cards Bochetti for his foul resulting in the penalty and Nocerino for protesting!  Guys, calm down... I am telling you Cameroon is a running machine right now.

Forza Azzurrini, come on, FORZA ITALIA!!!!

Wow, this match is getting too aggressive, a wrestling field instead of a soccer field.
In the 29th minute, just when Giovinco  was almost to score, Cameroon goalkeeper bring down Giovinco but the referee says everything is ok.  Hum? Really!

Now, that's it, I am telling you we are on "soccer wrestling match!"  In the 31st minute, finally, the referee is doing his work and sent off Mandjeck for a foul on our Nocerino!  Helloooo What's Cameroon doing?  fPlaying football or wrestling???   So, Cameroon remains with 10 players.

No, we almost had it!   In the 34th minute, a great combination by Giuseppe Rossi to Acquafresca

That's it, I had it with Cameroon, what are they doing?  In the 38th minute, Acquafresca elbowed by Bikey in the face and had to leave the pitch for a moment.  OH NOOOO Acquafresca is one of my favorites guy and I don't tolerate this.  Come on..

Thanks God, Acquafresca is back...

Again??? What?? HUM?? Hellooo, anybody home, In the 42nd minute Bebey commits a fould on Rossi and got only a yellow card.  Wow, this match is just running out of control.

Thanks God first half is over!

In the 56th minute, Cameroon makes a substitution.
Ngal out, and Bebbe in

In the 60th minute, Dessena out and Cigarii in.

In the 68th minute, another change for Cameroon
Chedjou out, Frank Songoo in

Well, it seems Casiraghi also another change.
In the 70th minute, Acquafresca is out and Ignazio Abate in

I am not liking this match because there are no goals. Italy lost its coolness after the pressing from Cameroon.  Concentration is key and Cameroon managed to kill that in the Azzurrini.   Hope they come back few more minutes...

Well, unbelievable, but after two great matches from the Azzurrini winning 3-0 against Honduras and Korea, today, we got no luck and ends with a 0-0, that sounds more like a defeat.  Though, Italy finished as leader of Group D with 7 points.

Im not sure if the morale will be affected within the squad. But i think it will be a draw game. Casiraghi will not field his best players for this game because he wants to conserve their energy and to play safe.

So a draw game looks more likely here.
