What an exciting week and surprising results as we get closer to the Kick off of the Serie A on Saturday, August 30.
Let's see what happened this week from Monday, August 11 to Sunday, August 17, 2008.
Inter won the first edition of the Eusebio Cup defeating Benfica in Lisbon, Portugal and AC Milan won the 18th Edition of the Luigi Berlusconi Trophy defeating FC Juventus in San Siro. Napoli won the first leg of the preliminary of the UEFA Cup in Albania against Vllaznia. So, you see my friends, many good news this week.
The other good news was the return of AS Roma Captain Francesco Totti playing in the friendly match against Frosinone. Plus, the good exhibition of Sampdoria forward Antonio Cassano in the match Sampdoria - AC Siena.
Ah yes....we have one bad news, the Italian National Olympic Team is out of the 2008 Men Football Olympic Tournament after losing in the quarterfinals Italy 2 - 3 Belgium.
