Covering the 2008 Summer Olympics Game in Beijing  from an Italian Perspective

Hello guys, here is the update on our Italian Serie A Players from AC Milan, strikers Alexandre Pato and Ronaldinho.

Pato and Ronaldinho played today with the Brazilian National Olympic team against Belgium in Group C.  Let me tell you, Brazil really struggled against Belgium. I was not impressed  at all by Brazil in the first half. Though things changed in the second half with Ronaldinho more active.

Anyway, guys,  we should be proud of Ronaldinho being the Captain of the team and for the enthusiasm he shows to his teammates and fans in Beijing who like to celebrate every move from Dinho!!!

Good thing is that Ronaldinho played the entire  match.  This means that Dinho is slowly but surely recovering his stamina too.  Pato played only 73 minutes.    So, for effort and commitment, I can do the "Cheer leading SAMBA dance" for Brazil.

Go Brazil, Go Brazil, Go Brazil ....

To be honest, Ronaldinho did show some of his magic moves but he is still not at his best shape.

Point is that the Olympics are also serving like "an intense training for Dinho."  However, it is so refreshing to see Dinho so happy like a little kid with his teammates.

In the second half, interesting to see how Brazil went to the 4-3-2-1 formation. I was laughing because that is the favorite formation of AC Milan Carlo Ancelotti, so Ronaldinho is getting used to it.

What makes me wonder is that Belgium remained with 10 players since the 72nd minute when Vincento Kompany was sent off.

Seven minutes later, Brazil equalized the score in the 79th minute.

Unbelievable but it took Brazil 78th minute to score a goal by Hernanes and enough to give the victory  to Brazil.

Later, in the 88th minute another player is sent off!   Marouane Fellani gets the second red card in the 88th minute..
