Italia
Good morning, buon giorno! Here I am on time for our "Coffee Morning Readings."
It is indeed a beautiful morning for all "Milan fans" after winning the Tim Trophy Tournament yesterday. You will forgive me again for doing so early my MILAN cheerleading dance, but this blog is for Italian soccer fans and I am a fan of AC Milan, so, I am happy guys. GO MILAN, GO MILAN, GO MILAN As you know, I also give space to all Serie A Clubs here because we are home and I love sharing with all fans about our respective clubs.
I prepared a strong cup of cappuccino because I was falling asleep and need to be really awake to finish updating the blog. Are you ready with your coffee, tea, juice, water?
So, come on, let's start with Italy's sports newspaper Il Corriere dello Sport. Here is the front page from this morning Wednesday, July 30, 2008.

TIM TROPHY TournamentThe headline says: Tim Trophy, double knock out for Mourinho's Inter.
Juve, Even Trezeguet!
The frenchman goes in goal, Iaquinta another goal. But the Tournament goes to AC Milan from Super Seedorf!
Anna Italia Opinion - I definitely agree that the success of the Tim Trophy goes to Super Seedorf.
It was a big surprise to see Inter losing both matches when Mourinho even closed one of the trainings for thinking "he was being spied."
Wow, I am wondering what kind of training was it because he lost. Sure, this Tournament was only a friendly test. Yet, nobody like to lose, right?
Good aspects of the Tournament includes Juventus Striker David Trezeguet finally unblocking and scoring. I am so happy for this.
Second aspect is confirming the top shape and consistent scoring ability of Juventus striker Vincenzo Iaquinta. Thumbs up.
The best of the best is for Super Seedorf who with the arrival of Ronaldinho had to endure the risk of losing his "hard-earned number 10." It was so refreshing, a total paradise seeing Seedorf so in shape, rocking, he was ruling the match against Juventus.
Imagine how good was his performance that many Juventus fans applauded him when Ancelotti substituted him. Wow, that is something.
Negative aspect was seeing that "the New Inter" is nowhere to be seen. So much promises of "the New Inter, the Mourinho Era," yet... we saw only a double knock out. Big problems for the defense, plus Materazzi out for injury now. Cambiasso had to take the central defense. A total disorder for Inter.
For Milan it was enough to have 2 victories via the penalties winning it for the third time.
JUVENTUS - Transfer Market
The headline says, Cobolli "we will buy"
Anna Italia Opinion - Confusing because Cobolli in the article says that they are done with the transfer market. He said that after seeing Juventus playing so well at the Tim Trophy they don't want to buy more. Though the headline says "WE WILL BUY." helloooo I hope they don't insist on bringing Stankovic.
Cobolli has only words of praises for Juventus and I agree it is "A Great Juventus." I like the match Juventus-Milan more than Juve-Inter. Both teams battle really hard and Saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon proving why he is the best. Bad things was going to penalties.
AC MILAN - Transfer Market
The headline says: Milan signs Viudez
Milan signing Uruguayan Tabare' Viudez from Sporting of Montevideo. Viudez will be in Milan to follow medical test.
FIORENTINA
The headline says: Firenze, Party with Barca. Friendly match today at 8:45 p.m..
Anna Italia Opinion - Despite being a friendly match, it will be a good test for Fiorentina and to win this match at the Artemio Franchi. We will get to see the work of Coach Cesare Prandelli and how the team was affected or not by the saga of ADRIAN MUTU-ROMA. Sure, Mutu is with Fiorentina but not many fans are happy with him. It is his personal challenge to win those fans back by scoring goals.
Guess what guys.... Fiorentina fans were chanting songs Anti-ROMA and guess who joined them? ADRIAN MUTU!!!! Yes, Mutu reportedly by Corriere today join them singing the chantes. I have a headache with Mutu alreadjy.
Let's hope this Memorial at the Artemio Franchi be a victory for Fiorentina.
AS ROMA Transfer Market
The headline says: Roma is dealing for Malouda and Julio Baptista.
Anna Italia Opinion - The transfer of Baptista is getting on my nerves! He is coming, he is not, he calls Roma, then, he wants to stay in Real Madrid. Oh well, who understands Baptista? I think Roma should target to a more determined player. Malouda might be a good option if Baptista doesn't come. So, from the two, I think Baptista will fit better to the plans of Spalletti.
REGGINA Transfer Market
The headline says: Reggina-Corradi a Done deal, Now it is Valeri.
Anna Italia Opinion - The agreement is done with Corradi and leaves Machester City to join Reggina. He signed for a one-year contract. I think he will be a good substitute for Nicola Amoruso who went to Torino. Reggina also announced they canceled the contract of Niki Nielsen.
Though not a top team, striker Bernardo Corradi will have the challenge to prove himself once again and return to score consistently. Reggina struglled last season for salvation and this season, with the help of Corradi... hopefully, they will have a better future.
LAZIO - Transfer Market
Headline says, " Lazio after Pele."
Anna Italia Opinion - Guys, this is a surprising transfer from an Inter player going to Lazio. Nobody was talking about Pele's negotiation. I might say that out of the blue, Lazio President Lotito is now about to sign "on loan" Portuguese midfielder Vitor Hugo Gomes Pelé. This will be a good move for Pelé because he will have more playing time in Lazio than in Inter.
NAPOLI - Transfer Market
The headline says: "Napoli has 10 millions ready for transfer market."
Anna Italia Opinion - I definitely agree with Napoli President De Laurentis on spending --investing-- to build something big with Napoli. If they havethe money, why not right? Napoli has available 10 million euros and the next player possibly arriving is 20-years old Jaroslaw Fojut from Poland. This is good because De Laurentis is thinking in the future and signing young players. Hey, Milan VP Galliani should learn from De Laurentis LOL. I mean Galliani tends to sign "experienced players," instead of young players to build the future. Though, lately Galliani is awakening.

Good morning Anna we are here early waiting for our coffee morning readings, good the paper is in now.

Good morning guys,I set the alarm this morning and was actually early which gave me a chance to check the other posts. Were are Pierto and Mark?

Good morning Pierto and Anna shall we start?
Reply to this
Here I am guys too. Ready for your victory and my big double knockout out as the paper says.
Reply to this
Man, let's go by part.
TIM: double knockout, unbelievable how the press labeled Mourinho's inter defeat.
I agree too that Seedorf was the man. Anna I like you mentioned about the "#10" because now Milan fans should appreciate our man, Seedorf cannot be set aside only because Dinho arrives. Good he is showing he still rocks.
Jump in guys.

Pietro I am still in shock with the poor performance from Inter. Mourinho eventhough it was a friendly match let us fans down.

Good morning Pietro, Nina, and Mark, I am finishing updating the newspaper while you are commenting. I was late updating the blog.
Mark good you made it. I thought you were going to miss the coffe mornings. So coffe, cappucino?

I am glad Mark made it too. I prepared my capuucino.

I love your spirit and your little inter chants.
Forza milan il milan ole!
Reply to this
Gee Mark all respect to u man!!!
Man I always wanted to know what those chants mean because u know I don't speak Italian! (I just guess what they mean thats it)
Reply to this
It is always good to win even if it is just a friendly.Forza Milan il Milan ole ale ale ale ale !
Happy for Trez and lAquinta performing good.
I think mourinho is trying different things with the team and will eventually get the team in better shape. They need new players, and after lampard deal fall through Mantari is not going to cut it. They need reinforcements if they wanna compete for the CL and the scudetto.
Definitely glad to see seedorf getting the best player of the tournament, he is deserves nothing but the best.
Fiorentina, a friendly with a top team like Barca can all help.
Roma, like I said before,I will believe it when I see it. They are always signing someone and at the end no one comes.Corradi needs to settle and after his loan with Parma from Man city, it might be best for him to stay in Italy rather than going back to the EPL.This is his chance to prove himself!
There you have it, I’m done lol
Reply to this
Pierto, you are absolutely right, we can't be fooled by this dinho mania and let our good players like seedorf pushed aside,we don't know how well dinho will play.
Mark, don't be too sad, the season is yet to start and mourinho if any thing is a fighter and will not let this friendly discourage him.You guys, need to buy good players though. You haven't added anyone to Mancini old team other than calling back troubled Adriano and Mantari. And Mancini which I don't think is the type of player that can be a difference maker like Lampard.
Reply to this
Man, that's why i was happy Anna included the note of the number issue. I was upset when Galliani or Dinho thought to take his number out. Man, that would have been so unfair.
I agree with Cobollis that they don't need more players. Juventus, man, is strong already and stankovic has no place in Juve.
what's your take?
Reply to this
I agree that Stankovic should be with us, but Mourinho doesn't seem so convinced about him. that's the problem.
On Materazzi, it is a big lost and hope we recover him. Guys, he is also teh only Italian in the group besides Balotelli the young one.
Reply to this
Mark here i agree with you man, for you guys Materazzi is also a symbol and i don't see Materazzi in any othe team but Inter.
Ambout Stankovic, man, you can keep him.
LOL.
Passing to the newxt issue.
Reply to this
Pierto,I feel the same way about stankovic and Juve,he should stay where he is,and if he is so good, why is inter trying to sell him to their rivals Juventus?
Let's move along, not much time left.
Reply to this
Thanks you are learning now to control the speed of the readings, man, that was good Nina! LOL
Reply to this
I join you in wishing the matrix quick recovery, not too crazy about him lately and after the euro, but he is the only Italian in the starting line up.I hope Mourinho does give Balotteli a starting position.
Reply to this
Fiorentina: what am i reading man, Mutu chanting now Anti-roma chants with Viola fans?
Give me a tylenol man, this guy is crazy, definitely out of my favorite players.
Reply to this
Pietro I am in disbelief with Mutu, such a fluctuating and double personality. Out of the list too.
For Fiorentina we will cheer for them against Barca today, right?
Reply to this
Yes, we will cheer for Fiorentina, man, we have to. but don't ask me to cheer for Mutu.
Reply to this
Mutu is for sure going crazy, one minute he wants to stay in Florence and become a fan idol even being handed the armband ahead of Montolivo, the other minute he is going to Rome! One minute he is being jeered by the fans and kneeling in front of them and the other he is signing anti Roma chants. Total lack of class!
On a more possitive note, the Barca game will benefit la viola and will be a good test before the CL games.
Reply to this
Roma: Still baptista goin gon? Man, latest is he wants to stay in Real? Roma must be serious with their choices because Mutu and baptista are proving wrong moves. What's your take?
Reply to this
The problem with Roma is that they can't compete with the big clubs financially in the transfer market and until they find a way to overcome that problem they will just be the 3rd or the 4th in the league. Cash has always been the issue for them. I just read that they are holding on to Stefano Okaka(Italy U19),he was supposed to be loaned out to bologna but they are keeping him because they might not be able to buy a new striker.
Reply to this
I agree Nina but also they don't seem to have good observers because choosing Mutu and Baptista who are not showing real will to join Roma but "how much they can get to join," is a poor judgement from them.
Here is where I applaud your Dinho that the guy cut even his salary and stood up against Barca to join you instead of Chelsea or Mancehster for more money. You see the difference?
Reply to this
I know what you mean Mark and also my Milan is no Roma(no offense to Roma fans lol)!
Reply to this
REGGINA: Man, i don't know why Corradi did not try for a better team either. Good he only signed for a one year. Amoruso in torino? not sure he will make it there. What's your take guys?
Reply to this
Corradi is already old but not that bad for not looking a better club. I think that's why he signed only for one year. Don't you think?
Reply to this
While Reggina is not a big team, but he was already on loan with Parma right? Sometimes a player needs small team to get some playing time and to prove himself.Amoruso will do ok in Torino I believe,he had a good season with Reggina last year.
Reply to this
Yes, Corradi was on loan but come on Nina, going to Reggina for some playing time, I think he rushed it and should have take more time to get a better club, nothing wrong about Reggina man, but is like what's happening to Corradi. What's your take?
Reply to this
I'm sure he would have signed with better team if he had the offer maybe not many teams are interested, he is getting older too you know.
Reply to this
man but he is better than Vieri!

Reply to this
Yes, I will be checking this post during break to let Anna finish.
I disagree with Nina on Corradi too, because he could get more playing time in another team.

It is always fun to disagree lol.Have fun at work.

Lazio: Man, this is really good news for NIGEL the laziale LOL. Pele is young and will be a good help for Pandev.
Mourinho is thinking on his favorite players and Pele might not be in that group. I agree a co-ownership will be better.
Nigel what's your take man?
Reply to this
I don't agree with Moratti letting go Pele'. Though he will have more playing moment in Lazio. I have to observe Mourinho in the next matches before giving a verdict on the promised "New Inter."
Reply to this
NAPOLI: Good De Laurentis is building a big team with young players, man, I agree Anna that Galliani should learn because he prfers over 30 years old players but Milan need young ones like Pato who was a good transfer and building the future.
10 millions? De Laurentis might be calling Moratti to tell him he is building the new Napoli and Hamsik with them. Man, so good for Napoli. What's your take guys?
Reply to this
I agree with you, Nina, and Anna that De Laurentis is really building a strong Napoli and investing money. Keeping Hamsik and signing Denis are two of his best decisions.
Reply to this
I'm so happy for our Milan!!!
Seedorf deserve #10!!! Inter fans sure are disappointed!!!! nothing really new but I'm still happy, and I have to check the post on Mourinho because I want to have some laugh at the be spied part!!!!I'm sorry Mark!
