Congratulations to Ex Milan Defender Billy Costacurta for his Graduation as Professional Football Coach
Italia
AC MILAN and Italian Football fans to congratulate former Milan defender Alessandro Billy Costacurta for his graduation on July 4 as a "Professional Coach" from the Technical Center of Coverciano in Florence, Italy. Costacurta played for Milan since 1987 to 2007 making a total of 458 appearances and scoring 3 goals. Costacaurta retired on May 19, 2007 and became assistant coach along with Mauro Tassotti to AC Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti.
Costacurta graduated with flying colors with "110 e lode." Maximum grade in Italy is 100, therefore, Costacurta got a super grade! Let me do the "cheerleading dance" for Costacurta! Bravo.
In his thesis, Costacurta mentioned that "the difference between a great coach and a coach is empathy."
In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport by G. B. Olivero, Costacurta said that before his final test he experience great anxiety the night before. Then, at the moment of his oral presentation to discuss his thesis like all students he experienced great emotions. "I talked about sports psychology, I wanted to do well in front of the people that worked with me for 3 years."

Here is Billy Costacurta and his wife Martina Colomba, ex Miss Italy, during the 2007 Milan Christmas party.
Costacurta said he learned "human relations and I began to study the different coaches from Milan. For example, Ancelotti has a great skill to manage the group."
When Costacurta was asked whether he was ready to start coaching, he responded,
"I am ready and excited about the idea to be in the field teaching football. Though, it is not easy and is not granted that it will happen soon because many club presidents are scared to trust the squad to a non experienced coach."

Interestingly, Costacurta's son Achille is a "super Inter fan." Yes, you are reading correctly. Costacurta even mentioned it during his interview.
"Achille cares about two things: to see me often and continue wearing his Inter Jersey around the house."
Regarding his first speech to his future team, Costacurta commented,
"I have always prepared and study everything, including my first date with Martina and the first statement I told Achille. It's difficult that I will be surprised. Though I think my first speech, which I have imagined many times, will be naturally and less prepared."
Costacurta played for Italy Under 21 from 1986-1990 and with the Italian National team from 1991-1998. Well done Billy!

Congratulations to one of our best defenders, Alessandro Costacurta, a true Milanista who came through our youth ranks, for passing his coaching exam and with flying colors. I love the video and the picture of Billy and his gorgeous wife Martina. My favorite serie A couple, real lovely. Thank you Anna, I love the post.
Yeah Anna , I was shocked to hear about the story of little Achilles being an inter fan, something about his Nanny taking him to the park the day Inter won the scudetto I Think ,and ever since then the kid was haunted lol. I'm sure Mark will love this part.
Once again congrats Billy and I hope you become the best coach in the world. For me Milan will never be the same without the jokester #5. The day of his retirement there were no napkins or tissue papers left in my house because I cried my eyeballs out. Thank you for the fun, the joy, and the unforgettable memories. Nussuno come Billy.

That thing about "ACHILLE" choosing Inter over Milan when his dad is a MILANISTA just puzzles me! Thanks God Maldini's kids are milanisti! LOL I will faint otherwise!
I can see Mark arriving any moment to wave that Inter flag and then Pietro defending Milan, I have a laugh every time Pietro's famous "peace treaty" is broken LOL.
It was sad seeing Billy making il girone.... wow, I could not believe it was over for him... imagine when Maldini do his girone OHHHHHHHHHHHH I don't even want to think about it!
I better start saving because I want to be in Maldini's last match.... so let me get a piggy bank LOL unless I get a super contract like our soccer players LOL...

Pietro ready to fight for our Milan! Army rossoneri are you ready to counterattack Mark and Jina? LOL, man, i better check the blog later for Mark's reactions because I knew about the curse of Billy having an interista son.
Girls if you don't see me around take the helm for Milan's honor especially my back up NINA. I better call for the whole army LOL
Mark and Jina you know guys we are joking because we have the common understanding of respecting our preferences but just have a blast with this Billy - Inter curse. LOL. What's your take?

Pietro,It is not the little kid or Billy’s fault, I heard the kid was brain washed. He fell in love with their celebration loool. I think we should behead the Nanny responsible for this tragedy and to immediately send Little Achille to Milanello for some spiritual healing lol. Did you guys know that Il Capitano Paolo Maldini was a Juve fan as a child?

That's true about Maldini but "Papa Maldini" instilled Milan's love through his pores until turning him rossoneri. Two best Italian teams internationally speaking Milan and Juventus.

Little Achille will come to his senses in time lol hopefully. I blame the Nanny who took him out when Inter was celebrating their scudetto victory. She should be fired lool.
Anna, I was thinking the same thing, you know, I have never been in the San Siro, and I promised myself that I would not miss Il Capitano's farewell game. It is bad enough I missed both Billy and Baresi final game.It will be heartbreaking to see Maldini leave, just the thought of losing another legend makes me wanna cry. I remember Capello crying when Van basten retired. Can you Imagine Capello crying! It was very touching.
Franco Baresi’s farewell game between Milan and The all stars Team is my all time favorite goodbye game. What a beautiful game with Baresi scoring a goal, and the entire curva sud singing c’e solo un capitano. I can’t wait to be among the ones signing their lungs out for Maldini.
For Maldini’s sake let's hope we win the scudetto and give our great captain a proper send- off.

Nina we better start writing our signs "Looking for a free ride to San Siro" get our cups and wait at the entrance of the freeway to get some coins for our piggy banks.
For Maldini, I have to go. I will faint but I consider it my duty.
Capello, that was something! He is an iron man rarely showing emotions! I am telling you the recent farewell of CAFU hit me strongly too because he kept smiling until the end when waving to his fans. Gee... that guy will be immortalized as the epitome of "enjoying life."
