AC Siena Starts Pre-Season Training Session with New Coach "Marco Giampaolo"

By Anna Italia

Another Pre-season training with Siena's new coach Marco Giampaolo replacing coach Mario Beretta who saved Siena from the relegation zone and now coach of newly promoted team LECCE.  Siena finished in the 13th position with 44 points.

Giampaolo is not afraid at all and accept the challenge to keep Siena in the Serie A. "I believe in hard work and it makes part of my job."  Well, is not that he did a good job with Cagliari when he was replaced by Coach Davide Ballardini saving Cagliari from relegation.  Though, I will give another chance to Giampaolo because most of his problems in Cagliari were with President Cellino.

I am so glad for Giampaolo, though will miss Berretta.  Anyway guys, Siena's first training was this afternoon at the Artemio Franchi Stadium.  Training included athletic drills.

As informed by Siena Official Website, Giampaolo will have a double training session tomorrow Tuesday dividing the team in 2 groups.  One will work at Colle Val D'Elsa and the other one in Siena.

An optimistic Giampaolo told journalists, "We anticipated our pre-training season by 1 week to scrutinize the team."

I like Giampaolo attitude that his players must start the season concentrating on the game, availability and humility not just to make money."  I love it!  Nowadays, some players care more about "how much they are going to earn."  Just about time to hear a coach talking about "caring more for playing good football."   It is unbelievable how much money footballers make, millions!  Maybe, I should become a footballer LOL.

Wish all the best to Giampaolo.
