Fiorentina Presented Juan Manuel Vargas and Comotto "Ready to Give their Best with Fiorentina"

Another successful Transfer Market for Fiorentina. Italian Soccer Serie A congratulates Fiorentina for the signing of their two new players Gianluca Comotto and Juan Manuel Vargas presented by Fiorentina Sports Director Pantaleo Corvino on Saturday, July 5, 2008.

A happy moment for Gianluca Comotto formely Captain of Torino in the 2007 - 2008 Season makig 58 appearances and scoring 4 goals.  After suffering many injuries and being without playing since March 2008, it is about time for Comotto to start feeling alive again and ready to play.  I am so happy for Comotto and hope he does well with Fiorentina.

Juan Manuel Vargas or "El Loco Vargas," played for Catania for the 2006-2008 Season having a total of 65 appearances scoring 7 goals.  Go Loco!  Vargas is one of the promising Latin-American players in the Serie A and  among his dreams is to play for his national team PERU.

Gianluca Comotto:"I thank Pantaleo Corvino for helping me make my dream come true to wear the Fiorentina jersey.  He had been close to me since I got injured. I am returning today after six months and that period has not been a happy moment in my career.  I want to demonstrate to Fiorentina fans who is the true Comotto.  This is a club with big projects and a great coach.  I have been working these last three months to reach my maximum, I feel good and in perfect condition."



Juan Manuel Vargas: "I was pleased with the trust and interest  that Fiorentina demonstrated me. I am happy to be here in this great club.  I can still grow and want to do it with Fiorentina.  I have aways admire Roberto Carlos and I dream one day to be like him.  Now, the most important thing is to work and mature. "
