Confirmed Lazio Striker Tommaso Rocchi Playing for the Italian Olympic National Team in the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing
ItaliaWhile many footballers will be vacationing during the Summer, Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi will be playing in the 2008 Summer Olympics Games in Beijing with the Azzurrini, Italy Under-21.
The news was confirmed today and you bet it is a good news not only for Lazio fans but also for Head coach Pierluigi Casiraghi.I imagine how happy Rocchi must feel with this privilege to be in the Olympics. Confirmation made by the President of the Italian Federation (FIGC) Giancarlo Abete after he met with Casiraghi, Gianfranco Zola and the President of the Italian National Olympic Committee Gianni Petrucci.
I am happy for Rocchi and wish him all the best to help our Azzurrini.
Olympics in Beijing starts on August 8 to August 24, 2008. The Opening ceremony will be at the Beijing National Stadium in Beijing, People's Republic of China.
Get ready to wave your Italian flags to support the Azzurrini.
Do you agree with the calling of Tommaso Rocchi to help the Azzurrini in the Olympics, yes, no, and why?

I'm thrilled that T.Rocchi was selected for the Olympics with the Azzurrini. They sure can use his finishing touch. Even though I wished it was Pippo Inzaghi that went with youngsters. In any case, I wish my babies all the best in the Olympics; God knows the competition is fierce. Forza Azzurrini, the future of our Italia.

I thought Inzaghi was going to be chosen too. Honestly, I am surprised for the selection of Rocchi. Though, as Italian fan I wish him the best to help our Under 21.

Man, we got this one right, that Lotito is among the worst club president but the very worst i think is Zamparini. What's your take?
By the way, did you like Di Canio? A controversial guy but he loves Lazio so much and watching the Roma derby with Totti=Di Canio was a blast, man.

Guiseppe Signori, wow,we have something in common Nigel,I love Signori too. I know the question was to Jgrif33,but I had to jump in when i heard Peppe name.I have always followed Signori where ever he went, Lazio, Sampadoria,Bologna. You took me back to the Good old days, thank you for bringing it up.

Pietro- No 1 loves Lazio as much as Di Canio! I always forgave him when he had a bad game for Lazio because We(Laziale) know that he worked harder than any other players and always gave his 100%!!! Zamparini should be hanged for the disastrous transfer campaign last season. Heard his at Palermo now?
Nina--Excellent left foot. Trade mark 1 step penalty kick. Remember??

Zamparini should be hanged regardless. He just fired his sporting directory at Palermo!!
Nigel, Thank you loads for the great video and the memories. Watching Signori is an absolute joy. I love the way he took the penalties and yes I remember, who can forget. They sure don't make them that good anymore. Bless his heart where ever he is.
