Good morning, many news going on today regarding the Italian Serie A transfer market, Kaka, the EURO 2008, and the Lippi Era among other news. Let me get my cappuccino to enjoy the reading and share with you these news.
Here is the front page from this morning Tuesday, July 1, 2008 of Italy's leading Sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
First it surprises me to read that KAKA, after giving us good news last month about his knee surgery, here it says that "his knee hurts." It says that his recovery after his surgery is difficult but that he is optimistic.

The worst thing that can happen to Milan is to start the Season without Kaka when the Rossoneri need their best men fit to start winning since the beginning.
La Gazzetta also covers the Serie A transfer markets team by team from the Serie A to the Serie B.
Finally the rumor of Deco coming to FC Inter is over. It is confirmed that DECO signed for Chelsea.
The newspaper says that Lampard is closer to Inter.
Roma forward Amantino Mancini might transfer to Inter.
Napoli: Denis arriving and Lavezzi says is ideal.
Juve: Medical tests for Knezevic and the disappointment from Torino
Atalanta: Vieri signed with Atalanta.
Sampdoria: Padalino and Stankevicius
The good news, at least for me is the front photo story:
Daniele De Rossi extends his contract with AS Roma for another 4 years. "Future Captain."
The other topic is about the "Evaluation of the EURO 2008"
where among the top 11 are 7 Spaniards and the FLOP of the tournament is Italy Striker Luca Toni. Ouch... this news really hurts but it is the reality.
I will be sharing more news on the Serie A Transfer market in other posts.
Last comment of the newspaper is about the beginning of the second era of Lippi. "After Donadoni, Lippi's objective is to win the 20010 World Cup." Well, this news brings a happy smile to my face. I am so desperate to see Italy playing as champions again. How about for you?

I am of course glad to see De Rossi sign for 4 more years. I note that the commentators for the Euro games had some very good comments about his play.

Yes, De Rossi has impressed many at the EURO. Too bad, he erased his big progress by missing that penalty.... still I consider De Rossi a Roman icon and a key player for the Nazionale.

Mancini to Inter? Ever since 2006 non-stop rumors mancini to real madrid, to inter, to juve, let's see if he finally leaves this time. If Mancini does to Inter then I don't think Quaresma will go to Inter.

I rather see Mancini in any other club but Inter. It won't look good. Exactly, if Mancini signs for Inter what's the point on signing Quaresma too. Inter is giving priority to Quaresma for Mourinho but have also Mancini second option. Don't you think?

Oh Anna. Don't worry too much about Toni. He's fine. He should return to the Serie A though. Also, although it might be remembered that he didn't score, he actually did against Romania. It was a perfectly good goal that was wrongly ruled offside. Who knows what would have happened had it stood.
It's only fitting that De Rossi should sign for Roma for more years. I think of him as almost as much a symbol for Roma as Totti. But wouldn't it be cool to see him in a Milan shirt? I know, one can dream. As far as Vieri goes, he would be well advised to just shut up and play football. Like Christiano Ronaldo did at Man U after the World Cup. If he does that, all will be forgiven. Somehow though, I don't think this will happen.
Finally, the whole Kaka thing is very worrying. In his relatively short time with us, he has become a Rossoneri icon. We NEED him. Let's just think positive and trust that he is too. What else can we do? You know, to think that Milan finished just 2 little points from qualifying for the Champion's League. It means as little as one more goal scored, or one less goal allowed might have been the difference. To think about it like that is almost more heartbreaking than if they had finished in 10th or 15th. But we can't look back. We have to hope for the best for the upcoming season. I do believe in this squad though, if they stay healthy. Ronaldinho or not, Adebayor or not.

Rafael. It would be ideal if Luca returns to the Serie A. It makes me happy to see that he is the top scorer in the Bundesliga and that Germany has welcomed him fine.
On Daniele De Rossi, I love it! I like him as a Roma Icon because he is a Roman born like Totti. De Rossi is excellent but I don't want to see him with Milan because my vision for him is to be a Roma flag.
On Vieri, that guy blew it big time. He should just train and play to talk with goals.
Kaka our Musica and Magia is a Milan symbol and WE DESPERATELY need his magic. Don't even remind me we are out of the champs because it saddens me not seeing my rossoneri in their big scenario. I don't want Adebayor in Milan because he doesn't feel it in his heart but letting "money dictates his decision.
