Serie A Transfer Market Talk Lampard for Inter and "Overweight" Ronaldinho for Milan from La Gazzetta dello Sport, June 30, 2008
ItaliaGood morning. Have you had your coffee or tea? Time to talk about the highlights from Italy's leading Sports newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport.
Here is the front page from today, Monday, June 30, 2008. Two points on the Serie A Transfer Market: - First Serie A Transfer - FC Inter with Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard who rather than talk about his transfer to Inter, prefers to think about the beach while vacationing in Taormina. I don't blame him! Go have fun at the beach.
Second Serie A Transfer - AC Milan with Barcellona forward Ronaldinho. Ronnie participated in Venezuel in a fund raising match with his buddy from Barcelllona Lionel Messi. Friends of Ronaldinho versus Friends of Lionel Messi. Ronaldinho scored 2 goals and gave a great show, but "he is overweight."
Naturally, the main headline is for "the UEFA EURO 2008 Final Germany - Spain.I agree with their statement that Spain dominated Germany.
Of course, special mention is also to the goal from "El Niño Torres" giving the Championship to Spain.
You bet it must be a happy moment not only for the footballers but also for Spain #1 Tennis player Rafael Nadal who keeps a diary in "La Gazzetta dello Sport" where he predicted Spain's victory.
Nadal got the result right, but missed the score. I checked Nadal's personal website and he predicted Germany 1 - 2 Spain. Though, come on, hello, Spain won after all.
I was glad for Torres scoring the goal because he is among my favorite players. Also, happy for Rafael Nadal because he is my fitness role model. However, I could not celebrate Spain's victory happily because my heart was sad for not seeing Italy lifting the trophy. Yet, all my compliments for Spain and congratulations for breaking the curse of not winning. It took 44 years to lift again a European Champion Trophy. Well done from an Italian Soccer fan. I hope next time Italy will win the EURO. Good luck to Nadal who plays today against Youzhny in Wimbledon.

Nice picture of Spain winning. I rather see their faces.

Milan99, but it is true, he is overweight. I watched him play in a charity match 2 or 3 nights ago. It was a match between two teams, Messi's friends Vs. Ronnie's friend. He was out of shape big time.

That really sucks, the last time I saw him was in the wc qualification Argentina vs Brazil, while he was watching the game, and I didn't see him clearly

Let me just laugh to my heart content with CASSANO being your fitness role model!!!! He barely manages to be in shape... so start getting another model LOL
Instead, Nadal, Totti, Maldini, Legrottaglie, Nesta, BUFFON, Del Piero, they all keep in good shape. But Nadal beats them all in fitness.
I will send you an email.

Anna,Cassano is my role model because I'm like him, out of shape lol. Nadal is a young Tennis player, but I wonder how good he would be at age 40 and running for 90 minutes like Maldini.Maldini could easily be Nadal's father being 18 years his senior.
Please, do send me the e-mail.Thank you.
