The UEFA EURO 2008 Tournament in Austria and Switzerland is over for our Azzurri. No more Europei after losing the Quarterfinals SPAIN 4 - 2 ITALY in penalties on Sunday, June 22. Our Italian National team was killed by the MATADOR after 88 years.
Our
Azzurri will return to Italy this afternoon in a charter flight
departing from Vienna at 4.45pm towards Roma with a stop-over at Milan
Malpensa Airport.
Let's wish our Azzurri a safe trip and that fans receive them nicely at the airport.
I still have the image of beloved Italy and Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo crying and is something that will be hard to forget. The sad face from Captain Fabio Cannavaro not able to defend our Italy for his knee injury. Cheer up Pirlo and all our Azzurri, I don't blame any of you for the defeat. Just give you warmly "Welcome Home."
