We already know that Italy midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso are out for accumulation of cards.
ITALY (4-3-1-2) This is the formation Donadoni used for the
EURO 2008 Match France 0 - 2 Italy
Goalkeeper: Gigi Buffon
Defenders: Gianluca Zambrotta, Christian Panucci, Giorgio Chiellini, Fabio Grosso
Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo('55 Massimo Ambrosini), Daniele De Rossi, Gennaro Gattuso('82 Alberto Aquilani), Simone Perrotta('64 Mauro Camoranesi)
Forwards: Luca Toni, and Antonio Cassano
Subs: Amelia, De Sanctis, Gamberini, Barzagli, Del Piero, Di Natale, Borriello, Ambrosini, Quagliarella, and Materazzi.
Here is my possible formation for Italy if Donadoni uses his favorite 4-3-1-2 formation:
For subs: I will have Simone Perrotta and Alberto Aquilani in the midfield. If going for a 4-4-2, I will have Del Piero and Cassano, leaving Luca Toni as a super sub because in 3 matches he has missed too many goal opportunities. For subs forwards, I will have Antonio Di Natale.
