"We must play with with hunger to win,"  Donadoni on the eve of the big match the UEFA EURO 2008 Quarterfinals SPAIN - ITALY.

Just a day before the match and Italian Head Coach Roberto Donadoni is transmitting positive thoughts during today's press conference.  Sure, the match is not against an easy team, Spain --so far-- show good football in the first 2 matches but in the third one against Greece they struggled.

                           

Donadoni mentioned that after beating France his dream is to beat Spain. Well, now he is the chance to make that dream come true tomorrow Sunday.  Just like he said, he has put heart and soul with the Nazionale.  These are the highlights from Donadoni's conference:

  • Spain is a strong team with great individual players. Although some of the players has not achieved the same results with the National team as they do with their clubs, they will be hungry for victory.  Point is that We must win with their same will and hunger for victory.
  • Formation? We will see tomorrow morning at the training previous the match.
  • Without midfielders Andrea Pirlo and Gennaro Gattuso missing the match for suspension. chance most likely will be for Aquilani. He has been working very hard like the rest of the team.
  • Against Spain we need to play concentrated and careful with our game, especially we need goals. The point come obvious to the lack of goal from striker Luca Toni who has not scored in 415 minutes.  Yet, Donadoni said that he is not looking at statistics. Obviously, Donadoni expects Luca to score because it is important for a striker.  He considers that Luca in the match against France scored a doppietta, talking about the penalty and  the sent off from Abidal.
  • Donadoni said that although he has been constantly criticized he doesn't feel like "if the train has ran oer him."  Italy is here in the quarterfinals because we beat France. Regardless of the result tomorrow, I believe I have done everything humanly possible for the team as well as my staff.
    I ask the fans to believe in the team because we must be united.
