I thought I was the only one saying that it is enough with the goalless period from Italy and Bayern Munich striker Luca Toni. So, it was a relief when I saw that Italy's leading Sports Newpaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport" thinks the same.

I like Luca, but as you have been reading in my blog, I have been questioning Italian Head Coach Roberto Donadoni why not substituting and give a chance to other forwards.
It's not time for having a soft spot and believe me it pains me to see Luca not scoring. The point is that I have to think on what is good for Italy not for the player. Italy is playing the EURO 2008 Quarterfinals SPAIN - ITALY.
Come on, it's obvious that Luca has wasted many clear goal opportunities. Plus, his shots are usually out of target. Yet, Donadoni has not substituted him yet. Why not test him again on Sunday? Donadoni considers Luca Toni "his untouchable," this is clear.

Here is today's front page from La Gazzetta dello Sport Friday, June 20, 2008
The topic about the EURO 2008 says:
- In capital letters: AND NOW TONI!
- The striker is still without a goal. Against Spain is the right occasion to score.I hope Luca explodes on Sunday and scores not only one goal but three like Spanish David Villa "maravilla" did in their first match.
- Just like Riva, Paolo De Rossi, Baggio, it's time for the goal.
Come on Luca!
We are cheering for you!

You mean to keep testing Luca? I agree that if he doesn't work in the first half, man, Donadoni should substitute him. Luca is good but right now he is not having a good time with the ball. What's your take?
