Can you imagine Italy without our Roaring Lion Gennaro Gattuso in the  EURO 2008 Quarterfinals SPAIN - ITALY   in Vienna on Sunday, June 22, 2008?  It is tough, right?

Here is Carlo Paris interviewing Gattuso in Italian. I translated in English what Gattuso said:

  • I am happy to hear from Gattuso that he is still happy for the victory against France despite being booked.
  • I will miss the next match but we are 23 players and all of them can play. I regret not playing but the joy is still great.
  • We will give battle to Spain.
  • Carlo Paris - the reporter - asked Gattuso about the match with France considered as a Derby.
  • Gattuso replied, history can be changed as Netherlands beat us after 30 years, we also broke the tabu of beating France.
  • I am a footballer and would love to play in the Quarterfinals of the EURO but I will miss it.  I believe in the team, the group makes the difference. Whether we lose or win, we are still united.
Bravo Gattuso!
