UEFA EURO 2008 Quarterfinals Sunday, June 22, 2008

Since the Spaniards are talking too much about the 1994 FIFA World Cup Spain - Italy, I am including the video with the highlights of the1994 match Italy 2 - 1 Spain.  Wow, let me tell you guys, just watching ROBERTO BAGGIO, and I wrote his name in capital letters because he is "THE MAN," gave me goosebumps.

Oh my gosh, don't get me started because when I remember that match, I just want to get up, stop typing,  put on my Italian jersey, hold my Italian flags, wear my colorful Italian wig,  and start chanting for my Azzurri!

Almost to the end of the match, the score was 1-1.  Dino Biaggio scored in the 25th minute and Spain equalized in the 58th minute with Caminero.

Just when it appears to be a draw, our great ROBERTO BAGGIO changed the script and in the 87th minute scored the winning goal sending all Italian fans to heaven!

I think the sour note of the match was when Italy defender Mauro Tassotti elbowed Luis Enrique inside the area in the nose to the point of Luis bleeding terribly.

I agree it was a bad foul and Tassotti was banned for eight matches. After this terrible episode, curiously, Tassotti never played for the Italian National team again.

Enjoy the video guys!  Just do me a favor, will you?

Join me singing  PO PO PO PO PO PO PO... I love it!  Wow, we got to win on Sunday at the UEFA EURO 2008 Quarterfinals against Spain.
