Ole!!!
What a better way to start the build up of the EURO 2008 Quarterfinal Match Italy - Spain than to respond to the front page of Spanish Newspaper "MARCA." Although I love SPAIN, especially with RAUL, this time I've to cheer and stand up for my Italy. Anyway, Raul is not with La Roja. So, instead of "A Por Ellos," I am for "Fratelli d'Italia ..."

To make it short, MARCA says that despite the episode occurred 14 years ago, THEY DON'T FORGET IT. Sure, I don't blame it either and I am sure Tassotti doesn't forget it either. Imagine that Tassotti was banned for Eight games!!!! Can he forget it? I don't think so. Curiously, Tassotti never played with the Italian National team after that brutal episode. I wonder why.
Yet, I don't think the 1994 World Cup episode has nothing to do with the current team. There has not been any violence or unitentionally fouls between Spain and Italy lately.
I watched this morning the news from Spain "Telediario" and they also made reference to the episode, but their highlight was that Italy has been "la bestia negra" meaning the black beast of Spain because Italy usually win every official match between them. Although last time, in a friendly match, Spain beat Italy on March 26, 2008 with a goal from Forward David Villa after a mistake from our beloved captain Fabio Cannavaro inthe 72nd minute.
