Although the Italian Federation (FIGC) extended  Roberto Donadoni until the 2010 World Cup,  should he be sacked now that Italy is eliminated from the EURO 2008 after losing by penalties in the Quarterfinals SPAIN 4 - 2 ITALY? Yes, no, and why?

Point is that Italy is being the LAUGHING-STOCK of the UEFA EURO 2008 Tournament in Austria and Switzerland. This, as an Italian Soccer Fan, really hurts me because we had the players to win this  tournament and  1 being left home "Super Pippo Inzaghi."  Problem is that Italy did not have the  right coach for this tournament, period.

Realistically speaking and how it hurts to admit, Italy never showed the quality of a great team when they were supposed to be playing brilliantly as the 2006 World Cup Champions!.  Not to mention that it broke the record for having the worst defeat in the debut of this European competition.

Here is the record of the Italian National team for the EURO 2008.
I had hope Italy was going to awake and have the much announced "REBIRTH, il rinascimento." Yet, instead of a REBIRTH, Italy is out of the EURO 2008 losing in penalties.

So.... should Donadoni be sacked, yes, no, and why?

He should be fired even if we win the trophy. No offense to our Milan veteran whom i loved so much as player, but he does not have the credentials to coach the azzurri. His lack of reaction for the game against Holland speaks volumes of his incompetence.
In addition, the Azzurri needs a total revolution to prepare for the 2010. If we are to defend our title then we need young players, new mentality, and a new leader.Someone to motivate the group and get them back on track. After euro 2004 lippi was appointed to make the necessary changes and you all know how that ended.Donadoni is not better Trapattoni so i say, let's do the same thing.

Yes. These 2 big matches- he showed he didn't have the experience to make changes when he needed to, Pirlo in the 1st game, choosing the starting lineup, not wanting to admit that today was a really bad result. There are only 3 games, and the last one with 'your archenemy' La France. Donadoni talks like there are many more games left to play. Just 1- period.

What happened to Toni? Would he deserve a place AGAIN in the starting 11 against France? I don't think so.

That's a fact. Donadoni has been learning since he took over the National team. It gets me boiling when he said Italia dominated and played well against Romania. Had we played well and dominated, we should have won convincingly and not crying about "ruled out goals." and so on.

I don't think Luca Toni has been "all that" in the last 2 matches. Yet, against France, I will use him because he knows that Ribery well. But if Luca keeps off target in the first half, then, I WILL RUN AND PUSH DONADONI TO SUBSTITUTE HIM. We cannot risk any longer.

      What do you think?

I kept saying since the first matches that Donadoni was not ready for the nazionale, like Nina, i respect him as a player but i have to think about my Italy being mocked right now.

Man, i agree with Nina that eve if we win the trophy, it will be wise for Donadoni to resign. What's your take?

Anyway my friends, let's sing PO PO PO PO PO PO for our azzurri.

Donadoni is done, he has no tactical knowledge what so ever. He insisted to continue the over the top long ball to toni even when it was proven 4 matches ago it will not work in this tournament. This isn't EPL where no one plays defense. the formation was terrible against the spanish with toni again being the long striker but again he didn't show up on his chance and the team as a whole only had about 3 scoring chances. there was barely any build up, as soon as they got to the spanish side they dumped it off to toni. terrible. i should be a coach i have a clue about this, but obviously thats not needed since donadoni has none.... i'm still pretty annoyed ill get back with some more comments later

Man, you said all I think about Donadoni. He had no tactical knowledge and always putting all his strategy on Luca when it did not work. Luca, poor guy is not responsible but Doandoni for not choosing proper strategies and formation, man, i am so upset because we did a terrible tournament. What's your take?
