Just heard the comment on RTL that our Fiorentina goalkeeper Sebastien Frey gave some hints to his fellow teammates on how ROMANIA STRIKER ADRIAN MUTU plays! Oh well, it's only fair, it is his National team after all. Yet, I am for MUTU.
In the 56th minute, France had a clear chance to open the score! Ribery sends an assist to Benzema who lacked creativity when shooting straight to the goalkeeper arms! OH la la la!
In the 76th minute, what a wasted chance for Romania when Chivu shoots a free kick all the way to the sky! ALLA STELLE!!!! Gee. He could have opened the score!
Unbelievable, but in the 77th minute, Romania and Fiorentina striker ADRIAN MUTU is substituted!!! Why? Hello!!!! Even the French radio was surprised with this change! Mamma mia!

This is going to be the test for France. It looks like Domenech will not put Henry in the starting 11. It looks like Anelka and Benzema in the front. We'll see if Benzema can do for the natioanl team what he does at Lyon and in the Champions League. I'll be watching it live.
score prediction: At this point the group favorites have won. e.g. Germany, Portugal, Czech republic. So France needs to win by at least a 2 goal difference to stay on top of the group.

Monica here I am for Romania. Man, i will not go for France with that crazy coach Domenech. Henry will be out and i want Italy to be #1. I agree with Anna that a draw between Romania - France will be perfect for Italy. What's your take?

Too bad Karim Benzema is not showing his great form. Not getting much service. I expected much more from France. Lots , 5, shots on target. We'll see in the 2nd half.

I just got back home,and i see that it is 0-0!!!!! The French are not doing great i guess.Let's see what happens and i will be waiting for Anna comments on the first half which i missed.I'm praying for a draw or win for Romania. Till later.

Man, i can't believe France is not sharp at all, no wonder they barely managed a 1 goal difference and with a penalty last time. Right now still 0 -0. Guys, let's hope it finishes like this because it will benefit us but Italy must win today. FORZA ITALIA PO PO PO PO PO PO

It is over 0-0 and I’m so happy for Romania. They put together unbelievable defensive strategy. I have never seen a team defend like that. I only saw the second half, but for me the Romanian defenders were the stars of show. Rat is unbelievably good, he paralyzed poor Ribery. Oh well, I’m happy France didn’t walk away with all 3 points. I just wonder if Henry was playing if thing would have been different. On another note,if I were Adriano Galliani I would have Razvan Rat on my shopping list for defenders. I’m sure we can afford him since he plays for shakhtar.

Portugal is suffering because it doesn't have effective strikers right now. France has more than you can ask for Anelka, Benzema, Gomis, Nasri. All played today and none could score today!!!! Not entirely their fault. Very little service from Malouda, Sagnol.
The most decisive France player is Ribery- only when he goes forward like in the 2nd half.

lets say Italia beat Romania, and France and Nethersland draw, that would make it:
Nethersland: 4
Italia: 3
France: 2
Romania: 1
than if Italia beat France they would advance! god we still have a chance!!!!

I think France will beat Netherlands. Plus Italy needs to score at least 3 goals and not concede just in case before the France-Italy game.

I hope not Monica, If Netherlands play like they did against Italia than they will beat France and if Italia beat Romania than Italia will just need to draw with France! let me dream, hopefully Italia won't disappoint us!

I can't believe the coach substituted Adrian Mutu in the end. In my opinion, France had this game won on paper.
On the pitch, the forwards were too isolated, the wingers didn't go forward too much. On paper, Benzema a decisive player. On the pitch, without much service and having to defend and play in the French half, made it much harder. Only in the last 15 minutes did Ribery showed that he needs to move freely to be decisive, not locked in the right flank. I still think Romania don't have a chance in the group.
