No doubt that Young Roman Gladiator Alberto Aquilani has been among the most active during the EURO 2008 training of the Italian National team and receiving compliments from his teammates.
Question is whether he has what it takes to be among the starting line up. Should Aquilani be in the main Italian squad, yes, no, and why?

Yes, he does have what it takes, and if it's experience that he lacks, he will be surrounded by veterans like Pirlo, and Rino.
However, if the choice is between him and Ambro as we have seen in the friendly last week, then I would go with Ambro. I wouldn't mind having him as a sub though. In midfield, most likely all players will be rotated with exception of the engine and the mastermind our sleepy prince, Andrea Pirlo. They are all excellent and will give Don a headache when making selection for the starting 11.We can almost make valid argument as to why each one of them should be in the starting lineup; that is how good they are.

Anna the thing is that Italy have great players, specially mid and strikers! and their can only be 11 players, how can 23 players be shorten to 11? those Italian can win it I know!

Yes- when the 2 strikers don't get enough service, his shots from outside the box can come in handy.

I think so too, especially now that Aquilani seems motivated and he could be among the youngest revelation. What's your take?

I think it is difficult to play because coach has to leave out Pirlo or perrota.Pirlo even if is not in a good shape he is an important piece in squadra azzura.Forthermore auilani can't play on the left like perotta.De rossi was very good 2 days ago and i do not think donadoni will leav ehim out.Who will stop attackers of France.

Perrota is not in shape,so i would go with Berto.We need young players like him in the midfield.
