Are we ready to cheer for Italy??? I don't hear you???? ARE WE READY TO CHEER FOR ITALY?  GOOD... now I hear you.

Time to get ready for Italy's first match on Monday, June 9 against Netherlands!

I wanted to share with you  this video from 2 Italian fans Maurizio and Pierluigi  doing their ritual to give good luck to the Italian National team for the first match of the UEFA EURO 2008 Netherlands - Italy by praying to a particular saint... take a look. 

Let me tell you, I had a blast  when watching it.

What are your rituals to wish good luck to the Italian National Team for the EURO 2008 match Netherlands - Italy?

My ritual for this particular match is to eat at least 3 fresh oranges to beat Holland since they are   referred as "the mechanical orange."

                     

I can eat 3 or even 6 oranges to symbolize the goals that Italy will score.  While eating the oranges, I visualize Luca Toni scoring, Alessandro Del Piero making a doppietta, and even Antonio Di Natale scoring a goal.  Gee, so how many oranges should I eat? Ha!   Why not getting some oranges too!  I have already 2 dozens, here I am with one package ready to devour Netherlands as Italian symbol!  Forza Azzurri!!!!

Let's get the ball rolling... what is your ritual?  Come on, we got to win.  Italy must win the first match!  What am I saying?  Hello, Italy must win all their 3 matches to be #1 in Group C.  Right?

I don't think he make it there yet because Gattuso might be return to earth to fight as a gladiator. Saint will be Kaka, Maldini, Pato, Buffon, Ambrosini gee he already looks like a golden angel like Montolivo. What's your take?

      Nina, I already have one dozen of oranges ready, make sure you have your own bag too to double the efforts. As for France, that made me laugh and I will put a separate post for that match too. We can have some French toast I also believe in prayers and like you la nazionale for me is family, la famiglia.
