Who Are Your 5 Favorite Serie A Coaches?
By Anna ItaliaA team might have the best players, yet having a bad coach will sink the team. A team might not have "fuori classe, top players," yet a good coach can take the team to glory.
What is a coach anyway? Well, for me a coach is like the "father figure" of the team who knows each of his players and love them each for their own character while helping them reach their maximum potential with proper guidance. A coach also must be able to correct the rebel son without making him feel bad. A coach is also a friend, one of the guys, someone to trust.
Here are my 3 favorite Serie A Coaches:

1. Carlo Ancelotti - He is the perfect description of the "father figure" and proving to take a team to its maximum level. Sometimes, I don't agree with his famous Christmas tree formation 4-3-2-1, but he is the coach!
2. Luciano Spalletti - He might look quiet and takes forever to finish a statement. Yet, as a coach he projects "fiducia" faith to his players. Spalletti is also a "father figure."
3. Mario Beretta - He is the "actor type" the good looking but look at me seriously too. Great technician and I love the respect he shows for his players.

Kenntak my friend why you like Gasperini? that got me for surprise because i thought you like Guidolin as i have noticed from your comments. What's your take?

I like Gasperini for what he has done with Genoa. I also watched a documentary on him and was impressed with his attitude and personality. I like Guidolin but was very disappointed with his management of Palermo this season. He did a poor job. I think he is "Zamped" out.

1. Cesare Prandelli. He made something out of nothing. Unlike the big budget clubs in Italy and their big name players, prandelli did an excellent job with what he had. Also his emphasis on fair play is something that makes every Italian soccer fan proud.
2.Spalletti because Roma played the best football in Italy this season and deserved the title.
3.Claudio Ranieri; from seria B to a champion league spot. That says a lot.
As much as it pains me, but there is no place for ancelloti in my list because he wasn’t among the best this season, but I still love him. Forza Milan. if i had to add a fourth one, i would be walter mazzari of sampadoria for dealing with antonio cassano and take the club to eufa cup.

1. Carlo Ancelotti, our father for his great human being treatment and making the best of an old team to win even the best club. He makes miracles with many injured players, great tactician too plus can transmit that added energy in the big moments. Fair play and doesn't put down his team or other coaches.
2. Spalletti, man, the guy is a great tactician.
3. Prandelli. quiet but the man knows his stuff and made of Fiorentina a respectable team, even taking them to the Champs.

I find it was great that Inter fans respect Ancelotti and choose him as one of their faves coaches and Milan fans respect Mancini and choose him one of their faves! Its great to have sportsmanship!!!! the question is whether Mourinho will get the same respect by Inter fans and also opponents fans???
