Is It Fair that Milan Gives Permission to Pato and Digao but not to KAKA to Participate with the Brazilian National Team in the 2008 Olympics?
Just as the 2008 Olympics are around the corner, the Brazilian National Team included among the called up players 3 Milan players: KAKA, PATO, and DIGAO. Yet, Milan gives permission only for Pato and Digao not for KAKA!

Now, before you make any conclusion, read the Official Declarations of MILAN to see their reasoning. Whether you agree or not, that's a different story and I would love to hear your opinion:
OFFICIAL DECLARATIONS OF MILAN
MILAN - The 2008 Olympics and the Brazilian national team. Here's the situation as made clear by the Rossoneri's general manager Adriano Galliani, who through a declaration to the Official Website ACMilan.com, he stated:
"Ahead of the Chinese Olympic games, Milan confirms that they will allow the under 23 players like Alexandre Pato and Rodrigo Digao, who are currently in the pre-list of the called-up players, to take part. However, Milan will not allow this permission to an over 23 player like Kaka for the simple reason that the Brazilian champion is already part of the Brazilian national team. The Rossoneri's club does not believe that it is fair that Kaka is included in the official games of the Brazilian Olympic national team."

i think it is fair. after all milan is paying kaka big time, and also the age issue is a factor.as for digao, don't even get me started. for the love of God why do we have him in the squad in the first place? so if he wants to go to china,let him go. i won't miss him.

Nina, I also think it is fair. After all, our Musica and Magia KAKA is a human being and need resting time too or will risk injuries for playing too much.
Digao? You don't like him? He is in the Youth team not the first team. I have not great knowledge about Digao because Milan doesn't want to mix Kaka's status as a support for Digao. So, he is earning his post by himself.
Kaka can play for the big team, the national team but using also for the Brazilian olympique team... he will collapse, don't you think?

Is not that I don't like him personally, but I watched him play for Milan in coppa italia vs catania, and that was a nightmare. He is somehow listed in the first team list on milan website. He is 23, and there is a reason he is not a regular in the first team, and a good reason too.polschi,and pato are both younger than him and trusted by the coach to take part of important games. As for kaka,i agree with you,we can't afford to have him injured. pato because of the age factor can play different tournaments without being exhausted. i believe he is in the brazil’s first team too.

I don't think its fair, that is a mistake, in my opinion, come one Milan no more mistakes. Milan got to respect the national teams and let the have the good player and come on don't they get netter experienced by playing with their national team?

Yeah Anna why not he will help them a lot!! Milan can't just think of themselves only. Yes ts going to be a lot of games for kaka but Kaka have to say sorry to all Brazil fans for not playing in Copa America, true they won it but still history would write "Kaka let Brazil NT down when they needed him!)

It is unfair becaue Kaka himself wants it so much! The team officials just ignore it as it is nothing! Unbelievable! Kaka already revealed his wish to play and only one award that Kaka has not yet won is a medal, specially the golden medal of Olympic Games! I hate the officials of the team! I think that they don't care about Kaka, but its team!

Ouch! Maybe Suri intended to say that she is really upset with Milan's officials... Yes, at times, I get the same feeling with Milan when making wrong decisions that instead of helping the team it ended up hurting it... If Kaka feels like going... then go ahead.

Milan officials could be annoying at times. Like when they make errors at the transfer market, but in the case of Kaka, I think they are just doing what is best for Milan without getting emotional. Ricky has a professional contract with Milan and he knows that part of that contract is to do what is best for the team. Kaka expressed his wish, but also said it is up to the officials because he is a professional and knows how to approach situations like this. It is not fair, but that is business nowadays, no emotions involved. I’m sure Galliani the friend would want him to go, but Galliani the Milan official has a duty to Milan and Milan comes first.
