Great match!  What a happy Mother's Day present from the Roman gladiators!!!

Like Fred Astaire would sing, "Heaven, I am in heaven!

Good to see the entire Olimpico di Roma celebrate the draw of Inter - Siena.  Why?  Hello... this draw opens the race for the Scudetto because there is only 1 point difference.

The Scudetto will be decided next Sunday and I am cheering for ROMA all the way!   How about you???

First goal was from Roma defender Christian Panucci with his trademark style "heading goals like a true headmaster.!"

In the 23rd minute, Midfielder David Pizarro provides the assist to Panucci who using his "valuable head" directst he ball from the center of the box to the top right corner blasting Atalanta goalkeeper Coppola while sending Roma fans at the Olimpico directly to heaven!!!!
AS ROMA 1 - 0 Atalanta

I was happy to see Portuguese defender ANTUNES in the second half.  Finally, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti gives him more playing time.  In the 48th minute, Philippe Mexes is out, Antunes in.

In the second half, right at the 68th minute, Roma midfielder Daniele De Rossi secured Roma's victory by shooting from a direct free kick directly to the top left corner.  Ouch!  Atalanta goalkeeper Coppoa must be having a nightmare while the joy explodes among the Roman gladiators. AS ROMA 2 - 0 ATALANTA

Gee, just almost at the end of the match Atalanta shortens the distance! In teh 86th minute, defender Maximiliano Pellegrino sends an assist to defender Gianpaolo Bellini seeing this opportunity to blast Roma goalkeeper DONI!   Madonna!   AS ROMA 2 - 1 ATALANTA

Good news coming from the Giuseppe Meazza where SIENA made a big favor to Roma by keeping a draw against Inter!  FC Inter  2 - 2 AC Siena

Guys, let's get ready for an unbelievable full rollercoaster of emotions next Sunday!  If Roma wants to win the Scudetto, Roma need to beat Catania and Parma beat Inter or get a draw.  FORZA ROMA!
