I agree with Palermo defender Mattia Cassani that "Sampdoria is a strong team and they’re showing it even on the table. We have to play well and we really care to play well against them”.

Mattia Cassani played in Sampdoria too as he said “even if I played with them only a couple of months, and I played only in the away matches, I never played at ‘Marassi’ stadium. But it was a good experience, the team got promoted in Serie A and it was really good in Genoa”.

Next year? “I hope Palermo will count on me, I think I’m ready for an important season with this team. I played twenty games as a regular player and I want to keep on playing constant. Sure, the injuries turned against me, they are the worst moments. In soccer, it can happen that one week you play well and the next you don’t play very well. That happened also to our team, playing a discontinuous season, leaving behind many points and being on the table in a position that doesn’t really reflect the value of Palermo”.
At the end of the season you also discuss departures and arrivals. “Our general manager usually chooses very well. We’re waiting for Bovo and Dellafiore to come back, they will certainly do well for the team. Intertoto? It not up to me to decide even because once we achieve our goal, the Club will have to decide”.
