Who DO YOU think should be the Called UP Players of the Italian National Team for the EURO 2008?

By Anna Italia

The Italia Serie A is almost over with only 2 more matches.  It is time to think about the EURO 2008.

Let's start by saying who should be among the called up players for the Italian National Football team.  Italy is in Group C with France, Netherlands and Romania.

 Group A

Czech Republic
Portugal
Switzerland
Turkey
 Group B

Austria
Croatia
Germany
Poland
 Group C

France
Italy
Netherlands
Romania
 Group D

Greece
Russia
Spain
Sweden

The big question is whether Juventus Striker Alessandro Del Piero should be called?  I SAY YES!

It would be a total lack of respect if Italian Head Coach Roberto Donadoni doesn't call him.

Why? Hello, excuse me, Del Piero, who happens to be one of my untouchables, has scored 18 goals in the Serie A, provides assist, is a team motivator and let's not fool ourselves, Juventus returned from the Serie B to the Serie A thanks to the loyalty of DEL PIERO and his great performance.

Of course, saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon also takes credit as well as Mauro Camoranesi.

Among the called up players I recommend:

Goalkeepers:  Gigi Buffon, Marco Storari, Christian Abbiati, Amelia

Defenders:  Daniele Bonera, Massimo Oddo, Andrea Barzagli, Fabio Cannavaro, Cristian Zaccardo, Giorgio Chiellini, Max Toneto, Christian Panucci, Marco Materazzi, Fabio Grosso, Gianluca Zambrotta.

Midfielders: Andrea Pirlo, Gennaro Gattuso, Alberto Aquilani, Massimo Ambrosini, Daniele De Rossi, Simone Perrotta,Pasquale Foggia, Aimo Diana, Mauro Camoranesi.

Forwards: Alessandro Del Piero, Luca Toni, Antonio Di Natale, Marco Borriello, Fabio Quagliarella, Tommaso Rocchi, Filippo Inzaghi.

Who do you think should be called for the Italian National team?
