Much expectation for this match as Lazio needs to win at home while Palermo looking to grasp the 3 points.  Lazio is going for a victory that will take them to 43 points like Palermo.

In the 25th minute, Referee Luca Marelli gives a penalty kick to Lazio after Giulio Migliaccio conceded the penalty  with a handball in the penalty area.   Taking the penalty spot is forward Goran Pandev who shoots to the top right corner blasting Palermo goalkeeper.  Lazio 1 - 0 Palermo
In the 37th minute, a clear and present danger for LAZIO when Referee Luca Marelli gives a penalty to Palermo!

Lazio midfielder Massimo Mutarelli concedes the penalty with a handball in the penalty area, just like the case of Palermo.

Now, here was the crucial moment for the young Lazio goalkeeper Nestor Muslera.  Taking the penalty spot is Palermo striker Amauri who failed when MUSLERA STOPS THE BALL!!!!!!!

Great job for Muslera and all Lazio players coming to congratulate Muslera  who  is guaranteeing Lazio's victory.

Too bad it was
a short moment of happiness because Palermo striker AMAURI scored a doppietta to send Lazio fans in total desperation.

In the 82nd minute, Palermo defender Federico Balzaretti sends an assist to AMAURI who just heads the ball from the right side of the box to the very top right corner blasting this time Lazio goalkeeper Muslera!!!!  Lazio 1 - 1 Palermo

Amauri equalized the score and now the match was open for any to win.

Big headache for Lazio arrives after defender Aleksander Kolarov commits a foul on Luca Di Matteo and Referee Luca Marelli grants a free kick to Palermo.

Then, my friends, it is good news or bad news depending on whom are you cheering for.  Just in the 92nd minute, great Palermo striker Fabrizio Miccoli sends the assist from the direct free kick to Amauri who heads the ball from the center to the bottom left corner.  By now, Lazio goalkeeper would have wanted to disappear! Can you imagine losing a match when you hold tight up to the last moment????
 Lazio 1 - 2 Palermo

Just hope for Lazio President Lotito to finally take the decision to hire a new coach. However, it won't make sense to sack Delio Rossi right now with only 2 matches missing.  Lazio waited too long to sack De Rossi and  sign a coach that could deliver better results.  This results takes Palermo to teh 10th position with 46 points only 1 point behind Napoli while sending Lazio to the 13th position with 40 points.

Well done for Palermo and for Amauri, i wish he comes to Milan because he already knows the italian calcio instead of going abroad for another striker. What's your take?

I agree, I wish AMAURI to be with Milan. Problem is that Berlusconi love to go for the big marketing names. Between Drogba, Sheva, and Ronaldinho... who to choose????

    Forza Palermo!
