Just when Torino needed to win and so do Roma, the ROMAN GLADIATORS conquered the 3 points at the Olimpico Stadium beating Torino.  A sad situation for Torino Coach Gianni De Biasi who replaced coach Walter Novellino.  De Biasi has lost  another  match  so far.....

A good day for the giallorossi who despite not having beloved Captain Francesco Totti managed to take the lead.

Bad thing for Roma fans is that Inter beat Cagliari  (FC Inter 2 - 1 Cagliari) So the distance is still 6 points with only 3 more matches to go with 9 points available.

One thing is for sure guys, the giallorossi are not giving up yet.  They are still ready to fight until the last second.

Chances look hard for Roma to win the Scudetto. Unless Milan beat Inter next Sunday at San Siro and Roma continue winning their 3 matches, there won't be a way for Inter to lose the Scudetto.

Well, we never know....

Click the video to watch the highlights of the Serie A Week 35 match AS ROMA 4 - 1 TORINO.

A bad way to start for Torino when in the 17th minute Torino defender Paolo Dellafiore commits a foul on Roma midfielder Simone Perrotta.

Here is Torino coach Gianni De Biasi  in the bench already worried for this foul.

Referee Domenico Celli grants a penalty for Roma.  Taking the penalty spot is midfielder David Pizarro converting the penalty shooting to the bottom right corner blasting Torino goalkeeper Alberto Fontana!

Then, you won't believe it guys.  Two minutes later, in the 20th minute, great Roman gladiator Simone Perrotta sends an assist to striker Mirko Vucinic who shoots to the bottom right corner blasting again Torino goalkeeper Fontana!

Wow, mamma mia!  Torino conceding 2 goals in less than 3 minutes!!!!  Torino President Urbano Cairo and Coach Gianni De Biasi know they are in big trouble.... packing for the Serie B?  Will Urbano sack De Biasi too?

Anyway guys, a great day for forward Amantino Mancini scoring a doppietta!

In the 26th minute, Roma defender Cicinho provides an assist to striker Mancini heading the ball to the top left corner.  Roma is now leading with 3 goals!

In the 32nd minute, Striker Mirko Vucinic sends an assist to Alessandro Amantino Mancini who shoots from the center of the box directly to the goal where Torino goalkeeper once again could not stop the ball.

The unblocking of Mancini  is good news for Roma who needs to really hold tight these last 3 matches and wait for Inter to lose 2 matches.

Things continue to go bad for Torino with injured players.  In the 44th minute, Torino coach Gianni De Biasi is forced to substitute midfielder Aimo Diana for injury and brings David Di Michele.

Two minutes later, another change for injury. In the 46th minute, Coach De Biasi substitutes midfielder Alessandro Rosina for Nicola Ventola.

In the 50th minute, Torino forward Nicola Ventola beat Roma defense heading the ball from the center of the box to the bottom right corner, it was  the honor goal after an assist by Nikola Lazetic. Imagine, Ventola substituted midfielder Alessandro Rosina in the 46th minute and took him only 4 minutes to score!
AS ROMA 4 - 1 TORINO

Here you can see VENTOLA while Roma defnse Philippe Mexes, Juan, and Cicinho just could not stop him.

In the 74th minute, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti substitute striker Amantino Mancini and it was very rewarding to see the fans applauding him for his great contribution to this victory.  Ludovic Giuly replaced Mancini.

In the 75th minute, a tragedy for the Roman gladiators.  Referee Domenico Celi gives a straight red card to Roma defender Juan for a foul.  No wonder why Spalletti had to change his formation. Now, Roma needed to defend the 4 goals victory.

In the 78th minute Rodrigo Taddei is out and defender Marco Casetti in.

Roma at the end proved to be strong enough to beat Torino to keep the race for the Scudetto alive.  Let's see hat happens in the last 3 matches.

I have to say that Torino looked plain awful. After a performance like that, maybe they deserve to be relegated. I am happy for Roma though, I want them to maintain second place.

Here is a message from SURI for all of you:

Hi, how r u? What's new from u? I am sorry, i have been busy these days at home by preparing for a trip with six Italian tourists.

I stopped to work at UB Post and i am going to work as a guide, so i will travel across my country this summer to gain money.

I am sorry for Totti and As Roma because his dream is virtually over! So we now really realize that No Totti No AS Roma, it means nobody can replace Totti, never!

In this i am very proud of him! So share my mail with all the commentators on your blog! I miss it so much.

So let's meet with your blog when i come back from my first travel. I will share with you about my travel.

    Sincerely,

Kenntak, i think Torino deserves to learn the hard way and go back to Serie B. Man, they had their chance to be big this year and have failed.

Roma dominated the match and i am glad to see them battling for the scudetto.

Suri, where are you girl? I miss your predictions too, try to make it this week and wish you the best with your new job.
