Will Francesco Totti BE BACK before 4 months after his knee Surgery?

By Anna Italia

Wow, guys, I cannot forget for a second the face of Super Totti when he felt the pain of his knee. Even if you are not a Roma fan, Totti is a symbol of Italian football and whatever happens to the Roman gladiator affects us.  Er Pupone is our joy.

Totti had to be susbtituted in the 36th minute because he suffered a knee injury during the Serie A Week 34 match  AS ROMA 1 - 1 AS LIVORNO

Totti was taken immediately to Villa Stuart for check up as the imminent was expected: having a knee surgery and being out for 6 months.

Totti said: "I heard a crack and knew I had to stop. Is my season over? I am only thinking about my leg at the moment and I am a bit worried."

Thanks God the surgery went fine.  Totti, always with his funny touch, said,  "Everyone said I should have been sent off, disqualified, but instead they made me break my cruciate ligament"

This was in reference to the Serie A Week 33 match Udinese 1 - 3 Roma  where  Totti  told a bad word "parolaccia" to Referee Rizzoli.

Most agree that Totti should have been sent off.  Even, yesterday, in the Italian show La Domenica Sportiva, they were saying that he deserved the red card.

Anyway guys, Dr. Pierpaolo Mariani said that Totti is going to be back in shape in 4 months.   "Totti will recover completely and I don't foresee any problems with the injury", said Dr. Mariani.

In the press conference, Dr. Mariani said.

"He will be inactive for 4 months, but he'll be back to work with the team's physical trainer after one month. It is not true that I gave him instructions for his recovery. Totti is calm but right now he is sedated, although we did not use general anesthetics. He will remain at Villa Stuart for 2-3 days just like any other patient who undergoes this type of surgery. Totti is being treated just like any other patient."

"We don't know if Francesco wants to go through physical therapy here for one month, but he will probably have to undergo physical therapy morning and afternoon."

Do you think TOTTI will be back before 4 months AND FIT TO PLAY?

I hope TOTTI recover. It will be hard because he is not a young player anymore and has had many injuries. Though, miracles always happen and knowing TOTTI, he will make it.

It's bad news for Roma and Italian football. I wish Totti a good recovery even if we are contesting the Scudetto.

Totti has had a terrible year health-wise. Now I understand why he retired from the National team. He is Roma's leader, and I really enjoy watching him play. It is not the same with him absent. I hope he recovers soon and has a relatively healthy next season. This next season may be Roma's finally . . .
