RESULTS Serie A Week 30 - Thirty Round Match FC INTER 1 - 2 FC JUVENTUS Goals by Camoranesi, Trezeguet and Maniche
FC INTER 1 - 2 FC JUVENTUS
Maniche 49' Mauro Camoranesi
63' David Trezeguet
What a great chance for the famous "DERBY D'ITALIA" to give a turning point to the Serie A Standings. Inter the sole leader with 68 points having internal problems is forced to win. Juventus, the Vecchia Signora, must redeem their honor against Inter who got the Scudetto removed from Juventus after the scandal of Calciopolis and given to Inter.
As I mentioned in my Preview: "So, here it's a chance for JUVENTUS to set the records straight on WHO IS WHO! The teams have played 178 matches in general and Juve takes the lead with 83 victories while Inter only 51 victories and 44 draws.
INTER's staring lineup

Just when I checked Juventus Coach Claudio Ranieri called up players, I noticed the "OLD GUARD" ready to claim what belongs to them for historical reasons. Alessandro Del Piero, Mauro Camoranesi, Pavel Nedved, David Trezeguet, and Gigi Buffon were definitely set to write a new chapter in the Serie A. Question is whether they can beat Inter or not. My opinion? I HOPE SO.
This "Derby D'Italia," means so much for Juventus, especially for Juve Captain Alessandro Del Piero. Del Piero celebrates today his 552nd match with Juventus breaking the record of Gaetano Scirea. Way to go Alex!
In the 48th minute, Inter defender Marco Materazzi commits a foul and Juventus win a free kick on the right wing with Captain Alessandro Del Piero.

By the way guys, Del Piero is celebrating 552th matches with JUVENTUS today breaking the record of Cirea.
In the 49th minute, the great midfielder from the "old guard," Mauro Camoranesi shoots from the center of the box directly to the bottom right corner after an assist by Hasan Salihamidzic. Incredible. Camoranesi defeated goalkeeper Julio Cesar!
FC INTER 0 - 1 FC JUVENTUS
It must be a special moment for Mauro Camoranesi!
In the 58th minute, Inter got the chance to equalize the score after Zlatan Ibrahimovic sent an assist to David Suazo. Sadly for Inter, Suazo missed the target sending the ball too high!

Then, my friends, glory exploded for Juve fans and all the Serie A, especially for Roma who is keeping the race for the Scudetto alive with only 4 points difference now.

In the 63rd minute, the only and only, again, another member of the old guard, striker DAVID TREZEGUET gives Juventus a climax!
After an assist by Captain Alessandro Del Piero, Trezeguet shoots from the left side of the box to the bottom left corner blasting Inter goalkeeper Julio Cesar! Wow, unbelievable! Yes, excellent! I knew it, the "old guard" was about to set the difference for their own honor.
FC INTER 0 - 2 FC JUVENTUS

In the 82nd minute, what an agonizing moment! Juventus flag Alessandro Del Piero gets an assist by David Trezeguet and shoots from the center of the box only to be saved! What a luck! It would have been a great reward for Del Piero who has been fighting like a lion.
Wow, immediately, it was Mohammed Sissoko almost scoring for Inter! Oh no guys, I am cheering for JUVENTUS! Come on guys... come on!
This time Inter defender Marco Materazzi could not stop JUVENTUS. Look at this great photo. Materazzi surrounded by 3 Juve players! Materazzi committed many mistakes today.

In the 83rd minute, distance is shortening. Maicon sends an assist to Maniche who shoots from close range to the center of the net blasting Saint goalkeeper Gigi Buffon! Oh my gosh! I hope Inter won't equalize the score! This is Maniche's first goal in the Serie A.
FC INTER 1 - 2 FC JUVENTUS

What a suffering final! A big turning point for the Serie A! Juventus beat Inter. Inter remains with 68 points while Roma reached 64 points, only 4 points difference! Juventus Keeps the third place. A great day! Congratulations to Juve and Alessandro Del Piero for celebrating his 552nd match with Juve in grand style by "Beating Inter."

What can I tell you guys? My Inter lost and I admit Juventus played with more determination. I only hope we don't lose again, fault I think is because the division between players and the coach is affecting the team performance. I don't know if Hilda agrees with me on this point.
Ok Anna, I must grant you got this prediction right.

Mark what can I say, what a disappointment! Inter had quite a chance to score and yet they just couldn't deliver. They seemed to be preoccupied. The drive to score was not there. You are right, the disputes in the dressing room have apparently affected the team more than we know.

Hilda what a disappointment, isn't it? Inter were lost, one of their worst game. The division among players is affecting their performance and I am afraid we might lose this scudetto for this stupid quarrels. What do you think? Even though Ibrahimovic is good, I think Mancini should put him aside and let other strikers who are more united play, we have to think on the team not individual players. RIght?

Mark It is true that Ibrahimovic has a huge alter ego and yet he has talent as well. I am sure he knows it too. I just wish he could be more humble and realizes his own limitations instead of critizing everyone for losing the game. He can be a lone striker though. Then again, being a lone striker, one has to be 100% dependable which is not the case for Ibrahimovic. I afraid you are right, Inter might lose this scudetto if nothing has been done. I don't know other strikers are better than Ibrahimovic in terms of instinctive quality to score.

That Ibrahimovic might ruin the whole thing! You don't have an idea on how mad I am with his behavior. We might lose the Scudetto? Do you realize it? Hope for us right now is that Cagliari either beat Roma or get a draw and we beat Lazio. Just left you a message on that post too to join me in and support Cagliari so INTER CAN WIN THE SCUDETTO. We are 2 against everybody here in the blog.

Mark cheer up, anyway man, you are still leading the chart. I will lie to you if i say i am not happy with your defeat. It was a good match, this time i think Materazzi had a bad match. What's your take? Also Ibrahimovic could not shine as always in the big moments.

A great day for me. I've got these two predictions right! Milan beat Torino and Juventus beat Inter.
Mark, sorry for you and Hilda, but it's a happy day for us. BRING DOUBLE PIZZA!
By the way, I agree with Pietro, Materazzi played so bad today! I expected more from Ibrahimovic but Saint goalkeeper GIGI BUFFON was there standing tall

A great day for me as well, Anna!
Beating Inter, is always "sweet"! What a performance from Alex (although he missed so many chances) tonight!!!
C'mon Roma, please take advantage of this result now!
BUONA PASQUA to everybody!

JUVENTINO TEDESCO good you are back!!!! HAVE A TOAST for Juve's victory!!!!
Are you kidding me? BEATING INTER is just PURE HEAVEN!!!! SWEETER THAN HONEY!!!
You are right. Del Piero missed many chances but excuse me the guy was on fire motivating the team. What I like most about the game was to see the "old guard" fighting for their honor: Buffon, Del Piero, Camoranesi, Nedved, and Trezeguet!
Like I mentioned, "they showed Inter and the world "Who is who" when it comes to INTER - JUVENTUS!

Pietro I know you are happy with Inter's defeat as well as Anna, Kenntak, Suri and just about almost everybody else, except Hilda. It's ok my friend, I understand your joy for your team. Don't eat too much pizza because we might win next time.
I don't know what happened to Materazzi but he did not seem the great defender today. Ibra I am not surprised he could not shine, difference like Anna said is that the old players from Juve felt more this match than ours.
Reply to this
Mark, I definitely agree with you. It was clear that the "OLD GUARD" players wanted more. You can tell this by the scorers Camoranesi and Trezeguet and seeing Del Piero battling for Juve's honor.
I am so happy for DEL PIERO, for Trezeguet, for BUFFON, for all the "OLD GUARD," they set the records straight on "WHO IS WHO"
Forza Juventus!!!!

So good seeing Juventino Tedesco again. Hey, it is a perfect day to get united after all!
Party time!
I am going out tonight dancing!!!!

I can tell you guys are having a blast with Inter's defeat
Just remember it's not over yet

You are right Mark. It's not over yet. However, let us celebrate this UNCOMMON SITUATION with Inter's defeat. I am so used to see Inter winning that its a real breaking news because the Scudetto is open with 8 more matches.

Materazzi was not in good form, but a stellar Del Piero made him look at lot worse. Juventus outplayed Inter and their confidence grew as the game went on. Nevertheless, Inter almost tied it.
I can't celebrate this because Roma is still 4 points away. If they win the Scudetto, there will be a big time celebration!!!

How about Burdisso?
He made many mistakes til the end.
Reply to this
Materazzi, Burdisso, CRUZ!!! All of them were nervous. The most upsetting one was Ibrahimovic. That guy seems small when the big moments demand his "great football technique."
I think "MANICHE was the best of Inter. What do you think?
Reply to this
Kenntak we are talking the same language!!!
Inter slowly lost their impetus while Juventus just "played with them" Sure, at the end, almost they ruined the party with a draw. I was just praying for the REFEREE to whistle the end of the match!
<<<<<< That's my guy!!!! A L E S S A N D R O D E L P I E R O!
Now, wait a minute KENNTAK. "You can't celebrate because still 4 points away? Are you kidding me?. Everyone IS CELEBRATING. You better believe that ROMA is just making a toast and opening bottles of champagne!

I just feel that business is not complete.

Good you are not celebrating because WE INTER are not giving in yet.
FORZA INTER

Juve dominated the game. They looked like a team. Glad to see Maniche in the box, and making an effort to endanger the juve defenders.
Juve could have won by more if Trezeguet scored that time instead of being unselfish and passing it back to Del Piero. At least 2 more goals. Exciting game. Enjoyed it.
Reply to this
It was just a "JUVENTUS PARTY TIME" like playing at the OLIMPICO!
Besides MANICHE, Alessandro Del Piero led the team to glory!
Wow, that's my DEL PIERO. HIP HIP HURRAH!!! I agree, Trezeguet could have scored more, nevertheless, I can't criticize any of the JUVE players right now because it's time to CELEBRATE this victory.

Too bad I cannot say the same for you Interisti.... this time I was cheering for JUVENTUS.

I an superbly happy, guys! Now the distance is 4-point!

Now, it's up to ROMA not to give up and continue winning. Inter only need to lose 1 match and draw another one or get 2 draws and the Scudetto might go to ROMA! wow.... what a turnover that will be! Don't you think? Totally unexpected!
Reply to this
I was expecting and had still faith in Juve to beat Inter. Luckily for us, it came when we needed it so much! It's super! I am very grateful for Trezegeut, ha ha

Suri you too were against Inter?
It looks only Hilda and myself were for Inter's victory. It's ok guys, enjoy it now but the battle is not over yet and I hope INTER WIN THE SCUDETTO NOT ROMA!

I wanna see Roma to be the CHAMPIONS for the 4th time!
