The day has come! I am ready to enjoy this match. Will it be a joyful day for Milan fans or for Roma fans?
What a challenge for Roma. Today, they have the chance to beat Milan and keep the race for the Scudetto. Wednesday, it is the Roman Derby with Lazio, and then facing Manchester United for the UEFA Champions League Quarterfinals. Will it manage to win all three matches? We will see.
Surprise to see Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti choosing his favorite formation "the Christmas tree" with Pato as the sole striker.
Too bad Milan defender Alessandro Nesta did not make it and defender Giuseppe Favalli is taking his place.
So much joy to see both symbolic captains in the field ready to defend their teams. Living legend Milan Captain Paolo Maldini is more fit than ever. Ready for the giallorossi is the Roman gladiator beloved Captain Francesco Totti.
Today, Roma coach Luciano Spalletti celebrates his 300th math directing in the Serie A. Congrats Spalletti. Just do me a favor do not beat my MILAN!!!!
It will be a total rollercoaster for me. I like both teams, but my favorite is AC MILAN, no doubt about it.
Incredible, talking about sportsmanship. Great to see both coaches Carlo Ancelotti and Luciano Spalletti embracing prior the match with a great smile. Sure, it is an honest greeting as both profess mutual respect.
This makes me feel so proud of both teams.
Just waiting for Referee Nicola Rizzoli to whistle the beginning of the match.
Guys, up to the first fifteen minutes, nothing happens. No goals... I am just staring at the TV following each move not even blinking. Praying for my Milan. Though, I won't be mad if Captain Totti scores as long as Milan win.
First great moment comes in the 16th minute, our beloved Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf makes a great dribbling sending a pass to PATO, then back to Seedorf but miss the target. Good effort guys!

Two minutes later, in the 18th minute, it seems there is a big problem for Roma goalkeeper Doni. Wow, Doni is on the ground when trying to get the ball from his connazionale Pato. Oh boy! Great, it seems no problems because Doni is back.

In the 22nd minute, Roma David Pizarro shoots a free kick from outside the area and thanks God Milan defender Massimo Oddo clears it! Uffa... saved by the bell.
In the 26th minute, wow, a danger for the rossoneri. Simone Perrotta to Totti and then sending to Amantino Mancini who tries an overhead kick but goes over the bar!!!
Guys, in the 32nd minute, a terrific run, driblling from Clarence Seedorf only to be blocked right in front of goalkeeper Doni by Rodrigo Taddei.

In the 36th minute, great save by defender Massimo Oddo, he heads away a pass by Totti for Amantino Mancini. Gee, I thought it was going to be an own goal!
OH no, in the 38th minue, Musica and Magia KAKA misses the target! kaka shoots just too wide!!!! Not possible. Come on KAKA! COME ON...
In the 42nd minute, Pato gets a long ball and Roma goalkeeper Doni anticipates Pato!!!! OH NO.......
Referee Nicola Rizzoli signals 2 minute stoppage time.
In the 46th minute, Totti misses the chance to score when the ball goes out!!!
What an ending!!!!
In the 47th minute, David Pizarro takes a corner. It is an offside position according to the linesman. Mamma mia, the Roman gladiators protest... they surround the referee... Madonna! Guys... what a moment. Captain Maldini tries to calm down Captain Francesco Totti.

Well, first half is over! The Olimpico Stadium fills the air with loud whistles!!!! ...
Let's see what happens in the second half
In the 55th minute, Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti substitute Amantino Mancini for Mirko Vucinic
In the 56th minute, Kaka opened the score!!!! Defender Massimo Oddo sends an assist to KAKA sending a left footed shot from the center to the top left corner and blast the net of Roma goalkeeper Doni.
AS ROMA 0 - 1 AC MILAN

In the 78th minute, Ludovic Giuly assisted by one of my favorite guys Simone Perrotta, equalized the score!!! Giuly with a right footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom left corner.
AS ROMA 1 - 1 AC MILAN
Incredible, in three minutes ROMA was able to change the score and take away the victory for the rossoneri. Unbelievable. These are the Roman gladiators! I only hope they will have this great determination when playing against Manchester United. Look at DANIELE DE ROSSI!!!! Battling fiercely with Clarence Seedorf... ufffa... heartbreaking for me. They are two of my favorite players!!!!!!!

In the 81st minute, Oh no, not possible. Daniele De Rossi sends a pass to Mirko Vucinic shooting from the center of the box to the bottom right corner and it is PARTY TIME at the Olimpico. ROMA IS WINNING!!!!
AS ROMA 2 - 1 AC MILAN
Referee Nicola Rizzoli signals 4 minute stoppage time...
In the 94th minute, Andrea Pirlo has the last chance to equalize the score. Milan gets a free kick for a foul on Paloschi. Pirlo takes position from the edge of the area ....it's now or never... oh oh... Pirlo shoots directly OVER THE BAR!!!!! Referee Nicola Rizzoli whistles the end of the match
It's over!!!!!! A dark day for Milan! A bright day for ROMA! Great present from the Roman gladiators to Coach Luciano Spalletti celebrating his 300th match in the Serie A. Well done Roma! In a sense, it is a sweet sour victory for me. Happy for Roma because I like it and sad for Milan because it is my favorite team.
This result sees Milan losing hope to reach the 4th position, therefore, waving a possible participation in next year UEFA Champions League. Roma keeps the race towards the Scudetto. Let's see what happen tomorrow with Fiorentina and Inter.

Again the Romans come through. Spalletti makes all the right decisions. Vunicic comes up huge again, I love this guy. This certainly seals the dead as milan coach will be sacked at the end of the season. Milan is just in pieces now.

Hey, all, specially
Anna, I told you that be ready to face the truth that Roma will beat Milan. It happened like i told. Roma wins over Milan for 2-1! It means that it was 100 percent right of mine! I am superbly happy for Kaka scoring the first goal of the game and his 10th in this season and displaying good performances that we have been missing. Right? I saw the match live today morning at 3.30. Despite Totti being a dissappointment, Roma won thanks to Kalac's 100 per cent fault that he could not save those very easy kicks! Ha ham i am happy for Roma, now we all need to wait to hear Inter to be defeated! We all want it, right?

Suri you just amazed me girl, having the two first predictions right and even teh scores? Can you send that crystal ball this way to see Milan's future? Happy for you girl that you saw the match because it was a good one, yes, i can agree that Totti was not that good, so Kaka made more the difference for Milan the moment he left the whole thing collapsed. Any way, congrats to you and Kenntak with my sad face
Another bad news is that Inter won girl.

Pietro, I still believe in Kaka to help Milan to reach the fourth place, i have really no doubt about it even though they did not face yet against stronger teams. Kaka and the whole Milans showed their strength and will to it, we all saw it. Kaka is recovering day to day with teammates, boy, it is really happiness, isn't it?

I just got a chance to finally watch the game. It was a sporting display between two very classy teams. I especially watched the interaction of the players when play was stopped and at halftime and you can tell, the players from both teams respect and admire each other. It was nice to see that.
As for the game, even if you are only mildly interested in either team, it was very entertaining. I was impressed with the "trick play" that Roma used on the corner kick. It was executed perfectly, but the assistant ref did not notice that the initial player had kicked the ball into play. Because the ball was initially kicked, it permitted the second player to dribble the ball. This is one of those plays that you probably won't see much, especially after it discussed in the news. It's sort of cool to see new things tried.
I feel for the Milan fans regarding the loss and am happy Roma won. However, unless Roma gets very lucky, I really don't think they can catch Inter this season.
