In the first leg Fiorentina beat Everton by 2 goals, today, it was Everton beating Fiorentina in regular time by 2 goals having to go for penalty shoots outs because the aggregate results was 2-2.
Incredible so, the match was tough, finishing the regular time, followed by 2 period of extra time (15 minutes each.)
Finally, time to decide who was the REAL McCOY in penalty shoot outs.
In case you are wondering how Fiorentina won? Hello, thanks to French goalkeeper Sebastien Frey!!!!!

Frey stopped Philip Jagielka goal!!!! Before Yakubu Ayegbeni missed the target when his shot come back off the crossbar. So, the definite moment came when Fiorentina striker Mario Alberto Santana gave the VIOLA a 4-2 final result!!!!

This was a very exciting game, I was glued to the screen. Fiorentina had a very difficult time mounting any kind of offense (Mutu would have helped). I am glad they held and then won it on penalty kicks. I had a feeling if it went to kicks they would win. Congratulation, to the quarters.

Man, i missed this match. Going all the way to extra time and shoot outs, man, just crazy. Glad for Fiorentina winning in the UEFA only hope they dont win in the weekend so Milan can grasp the 4th spot.

I thought Frey was excellent and really kept Fiorentina in the game for the most part. Everton were a little unfortunate but kudos to both teams for putting up a really great match - a real classic.

I am happy for Fiorentina and for Frey too. I think like you Soccer Rag, kudos for both teams. I saw part of the match and it was a great one, felt so proud for coach Prandelli too after all he had gone through.
Kenntak which one is your #1 team Roma or Fiorentina?
