                                    CATANIA 2  - 1 CAGLIARI
44' Cristian Silvestri                    22' Daniele Conti
                                              48' Michele Canini

What else can go wrong for Cagliari?  Not only they were penalized with 3 points going from 21 points to 18 points and still in the last position, but also losing after opening the score against Catania with an own goal!

Cagliari opened the score in the 21st minute with Cagliari midfielder Daniele Conti sending a left footed shot from the center of the box to the bottom right corner.

It was a sweet dream for Cagliari. Here are Cagliari players celebrating.

Catania equalized the score in the 44th minute when Catania midfielder Davide Baiocco sends an assist to  defender Cristian Silvestri right footed shot from the center of the box to the top right corner.

Four minutes later, it was just the final blow for Cagliari.  In the 48th minute when Michele Canini makes an own goal!!!!  Match ends Catania 2 - 1 Cagliari.

Surely, Cagliari coach Maro Storari cannot be blamed for this defeat.

Storari fought like a lion especially when Catania Giuseppe Mascara try to blast the net followed by another attempt from Baiocco, all within 5 seconds!!!!

It will be a hard mission for Cagliari to remain in the Serie A. Right now they continue in the last position with 18 points. Next Sunday they will play against Torino.
