Challenge for AC Milan is to win this match in San Siro to keep their hope to reach the 4th position.  Right now, there are 2 points difference with Fiorentina in the 4th position.  Interesting to see in the field Milan formation with the young striker Alexander Pato and Lazio oldest player goalkeeper Marco Ballotta.  Guys, there are 25 years difference between these two players!  Talking about young and old players!
Ancelotti decides to start with Pato instead of an even younger player striker Alberto Paloschi.  Inzaghi is on the bench.  Andrea Pirlo is giving a resting day to recover for the UEFA Champions League match against Arsenal while KAKA still recovering from injury.

Referee Domenico Celi whistles the beginning of the match... Hey, guys... FORZA!!!!!!  Come on Milan! Let's win this match!
In the 3rd minute, Emerson commits a foul.  Lazio striker Goran Pandev gets a free kick.  Oh no, this is a bad start...  hope Milan players won't play a nervous match.

In the 4th minute, midfielder Clarence Seedorf sends a pass to Pato who is offside!  uffaaa!  not possible, come on guys!

Oh my gosh!   In the 5th minute, Milan midfielder Yoann Gourcuff missed an attempt to open the score for the rossoneri!  Gourcuff right footed shot from outside the box goes to the right after an assist by Seedorf.  Well done Seedorf!

In the Sixth minute, defender Marek Jankulovski wins a free kick.

In the 10th minute, again Yoann Gourcuff starts a run on the left by Lazio defender Behrami clears....

In the 11th minute, defender Marek Jankulovski sends a cross to the roaring lion Gennaro Gattuso but Lazio goalkeeper sees no problem.

Well, guys, it seems Milan is having a determined match.  They are on the right track attacking and not defending.  Good move from Ancelotti.

Oh my gosh!   PATOOOOOOOO   wow, guys, almost an early goal when Pato with a left footed shot tries to blast the net of Lazio goalkeeper Ballotta... though, no problem Ballotta denies the young striker the satisfaction of an early goal.  Wow... it is a battle between the Young and the Old... hah!

In the 17th minute,  Lazio is just counterattacking .....  Lazio striker Tommaso Rocchi sends a pass to Bianchi oh my, good, Daniele Bonera cleared!!!!

Oh my... no goals yet??? Come on guys... Pato is having a great match but Goalkeeper Marco Ballotta is just having a ball with a great performance.   This is not good. Milan must score in the first half if not risking a draw or losing this match.

Wonder whether Ancelotti will bring Alberto Paloschi or Inzaghi trying to create more danger. I hope it is Paloschi because Inzaghi needs resting time for the Champions League where he seems to grow!!!!

In the 33rd minute, Massimo Oddo is offside!!!! but, wait, it is not over.... Pato makes a superb dribbling shooting from distnace... oh no... not again!   Goalkeeper Ballotta saves!!!!

Guys, problems... defender kakha Kaladze seems hurt.... oh no, I hope he gets up.  Milan cannot afford more injured players....

Uffa... good, nothing serious , Kaladze is up.

In teh 34th minute,  Pato  keeps trying with a right footed shot from outside the box to the bottom right corner after an assist by  Marek Jankulovski. Oh no, cleared....

In the 36th minute, Gourcuff sends a pass to Jankulovski but Lazio clears ....

Guys problem with Seedorf.... it seems he cannot continue....

Yes,  Seedorf doesn't make it. In the 37th minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti substitutes Clarence Seedorf and bring young Italian sensation Alberto Paloschi!   Wow, now the 2 young strikers Pato and Paloschi are on the field. Come on guys.... let's speak with goals.

Referee Domenico Celi signals only 1 minute injury time.

In the 43rd minute, Lazio missed a chance to open the score.  Rolando Bianchi with a right footed shot from the right side goes way too high!

No, I am not liking this first half at all.  Milan not being able to open the score yet?  Pato is trying but Lazio  goalkeeper Ballotta keeps denying the chance for young Pato to score....  Unbelievable, what a great performance from Ballotta almost 44 years old!!!!!

That's it no goals guys.   First half is over.

Second half starts with Milan Coach Ancelotti making his last 2 substitutions.

In the 46th minute, Marek Jankulovski out, Digao in
                                Emerson out, Massimo Ambrosini in

In the 51st minute, Lazio becoming a clear and present danger for Milan.  Striker Tommaso Rocchi right footed shot from the right side almost open the score!!!!!    Lazio gets a corner conceded by Kalac.
Oh no.... this is not sounding like good news.....

In the 52nd minute, again, it is Tommaso Rocchi heading from the center of the box after an assist by Cristian Ledesma.... uffaa, Milan is saved for the moment.... Rocchi misses the target.

Now, it is GORAN PANDEV...... a left footed shot from outside the box.... this is a bombardment !!!  Lazio is attacking Milan and the goal might come in any moment....  Milan losing concentration...

Ok guys, Milan reacts.... oh no... Gilardino is caught offside!!!!

Oh my gosh!   NO, NO, NO, NOOOOOOOOOOO In the 54th minute, oh no. guys, this is terrible!!!!  Rolando Bianchi with a right footed shot from the center of the box right to the bottom left corner after an assist by Tommaso Rocchi blasted goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac!!!!!    Up to here, Kalac was having a great match.   Come on guys... still time.... come on rossoneri!!!!!
AC MILAN 0 - 1 LAZIO

Gee, it seems neither Pato nor Paloschi are making the difference!   Come on ... problem for Milan is that Ancelotti already made his 3 substitutions!

In the 61st minute, Lazio Coach Delio Rossi substitute Ousmane Dabo for Gaby Mudingayi

Milan has only 30 more minutes to equalize this score... challenge is to win the match!!!!  Come on....

In hte 64th minute, Yoann Gourcuff free kick hits Lazio's wall.   What a luck!!!

In the 65th minute, Lazio defender Siviglia commits a foul bringing down Kakha Kaladze and IT IS A PENALTY!!!!

Yes, Referee Domenico Celi grants Milan a penalty!   Oh my gosh, here is the chance for the rossoneri to at least equalize the score.   Wonder who will take the shot......
Oh... it is Massimo Oddo... wow, the ex Lazio player against his former teammate goalkeeper Ballotta... wow... guys... pray, ..... get set, camera, action... SHOOT.... YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS YESSSSS
It is goalllllllllllllllllllllllllll
AC MILAN 1 - 1 LAZIO

In the 68th minute, Lazio striker Goran Pandev gets a yellow card.

In the 71st minute, Lazio forward Rolando Bianchi commits a fould and Milan gets a free kick.
Hey, this is a "foul moment by Lazio," instead of playing!!!!! too many fouls!!!
Now, even Sebastiano Siviglia gets a yellow card for a foul on PATO.

What  a match guys!!!  I don't see the young strikers Pato - Paloschi clicking.....  this time, it seems the young duo is not making a difference.  Instead of havid Paloschi in the midfield... would not be better to have him as striker in this case?

In the 73rd minute, Alberto Paloschi sends a cross from the right for Alberto Gilardino.... oh mamma mia!   Gilardino cannot make it.....

This is a nightmare... 15 more minutes!!!!!

In the 76th minute, time for Massimo Ambrosini but the ball goes over the bar!!!!!!

In the 76th minute, Lazio Coach Delio Rossi substittes Rolando Bianchi for Manfredini

In the 79th minute, Gaby Mudingayi shoots from the middle.... luckily the ball goes over the bar!  What a nightmare for Milan!

Now it is the young Milan striker Alberto Paloschi trying to blast goalkeeper Ballotta but Ledesma blocked.

In the 84th minute, Lazio gets a corner kick..... uuffaa saves by Massimo Ambrosini heading the ball away!!!
I almost faint!!!!!

Oh...oh oh oh,, my,,, this is agonizing... Referee Domenico Celi gives a RED CARD to lazio  Lorenzo De Silvestri after a foul on PATO!!!!!!!  Gee... what was he trying to do.... kill Pato??????
Lazio remains with 10 players.

In the 85th minute, again Lazio desperately trying to win this match!!!!!  Tommaso Rocchi like a bullet going for a goallllll noooooooo,,, uffa... saved by goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac!!!!!

In the 89th minute,  Lazio Coach DelioRossi makes his last substitution. Valon Behrami out, David Rozenhal in

Referee Domenico Celi signals 3 minute injury time.

In the 90th minute, Milan tries desperately to score a winning goal.... oh my.... what  a luck!  Alberto Gilardino  cannot get the pass from Massimo Ambrosini!!!!  Oh no..... this is unbelievable, Milan cannot win at home!!!!!

In the 91st minute, the roaring lion Gennaro Gattuso is offside after a cross from Yoann Gourcuff.

Oh my..... Milan gets a corner kick... .guys, this is the last chance for Milan.... one more minute....  wow, no, no, no, no.... Alberto Gilardino heads the ball but goes wide!!!!!!

what.....!!! noooooooo Referee Domenico Celi whistles the end of the match!!!!

What a disappointment!  Milan failed the challenge to win this match. Just when the Serie A Standing is in the final stages instead of getting closer to the fourth position, Milan lost two valuable points.   Last hope will be for Fiorentina to lose tomorrow.

Congrats Milan fans at least you did not lose the match. I watched the match and must agree with you that the young duo was not effective today. Maybe Paloschi and Pato on the attack might work instead of Gilardino - Pato. Do you agree?

Well, Mark, i agree that it is not that bad. Milan got a draw and now hope for Juventus to beat Fiorentina tomorrow. Kalac was the man of the match, had not been for him, we would have lost this match. What's your take?

Thanks Mark for congratulating us. You made a good point on the PATO - PALOSCHI team, maybe Ancelotti should try it. Not exactly since the first minute... but first, they have to train together and see how it goes there during the mini match.
