As expected, Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti gave resting time to David Pizarro for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League match against Real Madrid at the Bernabeu.

Captain Francesco Totti is among the starting line up celebrating his record with 388 performance with ROMA.  Alberto Aquilani is preferred instead of Vucinic.  Juan still injured and Philippe Mexes suspended. Surprising, although Christian Panucci is not at his best shape Spalletti includes him in the starting line up.

Incredible, not even starting the second minute when the Roman gladiators have an attempt to open the score. Ludovic Giuly right footed shot from outside the box misses the target after an assist by defender Christian Panucci.

In the 6th minute, it is the chance for Parma.  What a save from Roma goalkeeper Doni!  Striker Igor Budan heads from teh center of the box after an assist by Daniele Dessena.  Wow, Roma is risking big time here.  Point will be for the giallorossi to score at least one goal in the first half, ideally, before the 20th minute.

In the 8th minute, this is madness, what's going on with Roma's defense!!!! Another attempt missed from Parma!!! Unbelievable, Daniele Dessena heads from the center of the box after an assist by Andrea Gasbarroni with a cross following a corner and luckily for the Roman gladiators the ball went way too high.

Hey guys, Roma better shape up!   I don't see Giuly sharp... while great effort is seen by Rodrigo Taddei.  Oh my... Totti.... well, no, nothing happens....

Uffa..... what a wasted chance to increase the score!  In the 29th minute, Ludovic Giuly right footed shot from outside the box went high after an assist by Max Tonetto!   Guys, let me tell you Tonetto and Taddei are having a great match... not that good for Giuly.

In the 33rd minute, Captain Francesco Totti missed a chance to score!!!!!  Totti right footed shot from the right side of the box misses just to the left!!!!! The assist was from Rodrigo Taddei.  OH NOOOO... it would be heaven if Totti score today!!!!!   Come on TOTTI... Fai il forte!   Guys, I am telling you, Taddei is on fire!  Awesome!!!!


Chance for Parma to equalize the score with Andrea Gasbarroni.... following the yellow card of Aquilani. In the 35th minute, Gasbarroni right footed shot from outside the box misses to the right from a direct kick.   Oh my... I don't want to see a late draw like it happened with Inter when Roma lost those 3 golden points when Zanetti scored in the 88th minute.

In the 37th minute, young Aquilani inspired  by his goal tries again but misses this chance after an assist by Cicinho.  His right footed shot from outside the box is way too wide.

Though ball possession has been dominated by Roma, the score remains 1 -0...

Let's wait for Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti to make necessary adjustments in the second half.

In the 49th minute, wow,,, a disaster for Parma.  No goals.  Giulio Falcone  heading from the center of the box after an assist by Andrea Gasbarroni sees his effort blocked.  uffaa, saved... Roma is saved.  Roma gets a corner conceded by the same Falcone...

Oops... madonna!  I don't want to be in Falcone's place!!!!   First he misssed the chance to score two minutes ago, and now... right in the 51st minute a headache for PARMA!   Falcone makes an own goal.

Guys, this goal is a big help because Roma can walk away with these 3 golden points. Let's hope INTER lose tomorrow and the distance will be shorten with only 6 points... provided Napoli beats Inter....

In the 54th minute, a handball by Paolo Castelline and Referee Rocchi  does not hesitate and gives him the yellow card.

In the 80th minute, YES, YES, YES... it is SUPER TOTTI!!!!!!! Mauro Esposito sends an assist to SUPER TOTTI and a  right footed shot from outside the box right to the top left corner makes TOTTI smile!   It is goal!!!! Finally!   Oh my... what a day!!!!!  A perfect day at the Olimpico di Roma!  Captain Totti scored the third goal for Roma!!!!  This is the 12th goal of Totti for the current season only 4 goals behind Genoa striker Marco Borriello.  This is a significant goal for TOTTI because it is the 14th goal that he scores against PARMA!  You bet Parma is not happy with this record.  GRANDE TOTTI!!!!!!

Thiis is Vucinic's third goal in this season.  Hey guys, what else can we ask???????  A great mistake by Parma defender Zenoni making a bad clearance finding VUCINIC to shoot from six yards....It is a perfect day for Roma...
