Who is the best ALESSANDRO DEL PIERO or FRANCESCO TOTTI?

By Anna Italia

Undoubtedly, Juventus Captain Alessandro Del Piero and Roma Captain Francesco Totti are some of the best Italian footballers.

Question is who do YOU think is the best and why?  Do you have have a favorite goal?

A chance to see a confrontation between  both players will be this Saturday when FC Juventus hosts AS Roma for the Serie A Twenty Third Round. Hey, don't miss this match!:

I included two videos for your delight.

One video is about who is the best and the other one showing both players as friends outside the field.

Totti invited Del Piero to participate in his video "La Sai l'ultima di Totti?

I agree it is a tough question with a tough answer for the ones that like both players. So, it is ok, you can have 50% for each. Have you seen that video of "La Sai l'utlima di Totti?" E' divertente!

    FORZA TOTTI
    FORZA DEL PIERO

Hey, guys! Why are you feeking doubt about who is the best? I even don't understand its question! You all know that Totti is the best! Not only than Del Piero, but also than Buffon! Italy misses so much Totti not having him in the international level like Euro-2008! Italian National Team without Totti is a disaster, you know! Totti is the not only playmaker of the Roma, but also entire Italian! Guys, there is no 50/50 for each! only 100 percent for Totti!

I knew you were all for Totti, girl. I kind of think Totti and Del Piero have no comparison as for Totti being better than Buffon here i have no doubt that you are dead wrong girl. Buffon is the one saving Italy if you think that during the world cup Totti scored 1 important penalty but Buffon made many saves guaranteeing the final, girl, this will be war. Just waiting for the preview to compare yours and mine, i know you will go for roma.

SURIIIIII there you are the 100% ROMA fan!

Well, you can tell I am struggling between my favorite players. Honestly, I prefer a draw, yet, if keeping Inter away than Roma should win, but HELLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP see, my main team is AC MILAN. I will have no doubt if Milan plays against any other team, even my other favorites, because I will pick AC MILAN. But, Roma-Juve... uffffaaaaaa!!!!!!

Give me about 30 minutes to finish my preview.... I know Pietro keeps waiting for it on Thursdays, but today it was a crazy dayyyyyy... so finishing the Preview in this moment... I will be back later....

TOTTI, no questions asked. He is better on the ball, he holds the ball up better, he draws his team into the play better, he creates his own space to work better, thus bottom line Totti is the better forward.

Welcome Ironlion27 to my blog! Great opening defending your favorite player TOTTI. I can buy your argument on Totti being better on the ball. However, just like I mentioned to JuveMorocco, in terms of leadership as Captain, I think Del Piero has the lead. Yet, as forwards I consider both the best!

What are your Predictions for this weekend? Would like to see your comments in the Preview post.

Totti is better on the ball than Alex? Are you joking, mate? There's no better technician in Italy than Del Piero!

Totti may have a better shot ... but he surely hasn't better technical skills than Alex!

Both are different types of players, so you can't compare them easily. Totti is the typical playmaker with a decent ability of scoring goals, whereas Del Piero is more of a striker with a clinical finishing!

Both are great players and personalities ... however, I'd say that Alex is the better one!

    Forza La Juve

It's simple Juve fans will say del piero and Roma fans will def say totti. but look at how many trophies del piero have won compare to totti. you can say that ok del piero had abetter cast of players around him. ok then that means Juventus is better than Roma. Another thing del piero dribbles amazingly with no rush what so ever. Totti flicks the ball. My english is not perfect to express my self better but go to youtube and you decide. Also del piero is a world class capitano he leads by example no temper no jealousy. Under capello he didn't play much but never any major headlines about del piero complaining that;s why to us JUVE fans del piero is untouchable.

Hello JuveMorocco! Totally agree with your opening statement. Got a solid point on how many goals Del Piero has. In terms of character when it comes to "CAPTAIN," no doubt Del Piero is better than Totti who seems to be sometimes jealous with his teammates especially Mancini and Cassano (no longer in Roma). Your last comment, "DEL PIERO" is untouchable... I VOTE FOR IT!

      FORZA DEL PIERO!!!

Normally I'm watching the top games with Juve participation on "Premiere" (German pay tv) in a sportsbar toghether with 2 friends ... however, since I've got the internet live streams lately, I'm a little bit lazy and follow the matches on my computer (if I'm at home).

Where can I vote for your blog and make the predictions?

Welcome Pedro to my blog and look forward to exchange comments on the Serie A.

I agree with you Del Piero and Totti are different. Right now, the one defining at the last minute is Alessandro Del Piero in the 45th minute with a superb goal. Just hope to see a good goal from Totti now.
