60' Serginho out, Alberto Paloschi in

Although Coach Carlo Ancelotti could not count with the two greatest sensation Kaka and Pato, challenge was for Milan to use their DNA as champion and get a victory.  Period.

After coming from a victory last week Fiorentina 0 - 1 AC Milan, the road towards the Champions League is becoming a reality.   Great news is that AC MILAN is finding the way to glory with younger players, such: Kaka, Pato, and Paloschi.

It will be a challenging test for Milan with the return from injury of Ronaldo, Marek Jankulovski, Paolo Maldini, Serginho, and Filippo Inzaghi.  Point is that Milan should be able to win this match at home in fron of the thousands fans cheering for the rossoneri.

For Siena, after beating Roma 3-0, this is a match to get the 3 points to help them climb the Serie A Standing and avoid the Relegation Zone.

Ok, grasp your snack because Referee Orsato whistles the beginning of the match.

Here we go, oh boy, I am so nervous, imagine Ancelotti!!!!

Surprisingly, Milan's defense  is among the oldest one, all players over 30 years old:Cafu, Nesta, and Captain Maldini. Let's see how these experienced players do.

In the 3rd minute, Serginho just returned from injury making a great clearance when Siena defender Rossettini tried to cut inside the area.  Well done Serginho!  Welcome back.

Serginho then sends a cross to the left to Super Pippo Inzaghi, Siena defense cleared it and should be a corner kick, according to Inzaghi, who keeps protesting because Referee Daniele Orsato does not grant the corner.

Wow, incredible!  In the 5th minute, Siena almost opened the score!  Thanks God Marek Jankulovski was there to clear the ball from Rossettini. Siena midfielder Locatelli sends a cross to forward Frick on the right only to find Milan goalkeeper Zeljko Kalac blocking the ball. Hey, guys, Kalac is proving to be a reliable goalkeeper! Wonder whether Ancelotti will use it often or will he keep DIDA. I think he should combine both for turnovers. Don't you think?

Milan counterattacks with Super Filippo Inzaghi trying a left-footed shot through the middle to be deflected by Manninger. It is a corner for Milan.

In the 8th minute, corner kick is taken by Alessandro Nesta but Siena defense cleared danger.

Milan keeps attacking and in the 9th minute, Cafu sends a cross and Inzaghi heads the ball to be saved by Siena goalkeeper Manninger!  It's a corner for Milan.

In the 11th minute, Andrea Pirlo takes the corner, Siena cleared the danger.

Wow, goalllll, this is incredible. Siena midfielder Tomas Locatelli scoredfrom close range!!! Oh no, wait, Referee Orsato  indicates is offside after the lineman disallowed it! Mamma mia!

This is a warning for Milan, Siena might be scared as declared by Siena Coach Mario Beretta knowing Milan's curriculum. Yet, here  Siena players are not showing any fear.  Good wo we can see a good match!

Milan reacts and in the 15th minute, Cafu sends a cross on the right to Inzaghi but Siena defense cleared! Again, Super Pippo "ci prova" tries a left footed from the edge of the area, woww, Siena defense clears again. The ball ball reound and Milan midfielder Massimo Ambrossini shoots but way over the bar!!!! Come on guys!!!! Forza ragazzi!

Oh no guys, in the 19th minute, Ronaldo just wasted a precious chance to score when he slips and loses the ball from the edge of the area. Madonna! I wonder when is Ronaldo going to do his great comeback.

Gee, how I miss Musica and Magia KAKA in the midfield area doing his great moves and those solo run!

In the 29th minute, Captain Paolo Maldini gets a yellow card for a foul on Siena striker Maccarone. Siena gets a free kick from teh edge of the area, a dangerous zone for Milan but goalkeeper Kalac finds no problem to grab  a "low ball."

In the 31st minute, corner for Milan with Andrea Pirlo. Serginho sends a cross to Ronaldo trying a right footed shot rightly blocked by Siena defender Loria.

Wow, this is not possible!  Too many balls going over the bar!!! Now, in the 34th minute, Pippo Inzaghi heads and the ball flies over the bar!. Helloo, come on guys, concentration.

First half  ends 0 - 0.

Now, here comes the challenge for both coaches to deliver a motivational talk and specific strategies to open the score. What will be the substitutions?

Well, no changes for Siena.  Milan starts the second half  with two substitutions.

In the 46th minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti substitutes Alessandro Nesta for Daniele Bonera; Ronaldo out for Clarence Seedorf. It has not been a brilliant day for Ronaldo.

In the 51st minute, Inzaghi is offside.   Siena midfielder Locatelli sends a cross to stiker Frick inside the area but his shot hits the left post!  Wow, what a luck!

No goals yet??? I think Siena is believing their dream to beat Milan in San Siro because they are all attack and Milan not playing that well.  Having too many wasted opportunities to score during the first half.  Maybe the rossoneri will wake up and concentrate their target.

Time for Captain Paolo Maldini to defend Milan's honor and motivate the team to win this match.

Point is that Milan fans in San Siro are starting to boo the team, whistles are all in tune. They want goals, period. No draws.

In the 60th minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his 3rd substitution. Serginho is out and Alberto Paloschi from the "Youth team" makes his debut in Serie A.  Let's see what the young Paloschi could do.

Wonder why Siena coach Beretta has not done any substitutions yet.  Hum...

Oh my, my, you won't believe it guys.  Just three minutes after his substitutions ALBERTO PALOSCHI delivered an important goal for the rossoneri!!!!!  What a debut!  Paloschi, who turned 18 years old in January 4, blasted goalkeeper Manninger and make Milan fans dream!

Ancelotti is all smiles....  players celebrates and San Siro welcomes the new "Paloschi made in Italy sensation"!!!  Goal made in Italy!  Hey, this is good news for Milan because Ancelotti can count on "young blood."  Pato and Paloschi!   Paloschi just sealed his debut with a brilliant goal guaranteeing Milan the 3 points!

Finally, in the 73th minute, Siena Coach Mario Beretta makes his first substitution. Jarolim is out Kajarhi is in.
I think Beretta waited too long to make his substitution. Fifteen more minutes, let's see if this substitution can make a diffeence to equalize the score.

In the 75th minute,  Siena almost equalized the score!!!!

In the 76th minute, Siena Coach Mario Beretta makes his second substitution, Locatelli is out, Forrestieri is in.

In the 78th miute, Andrea Pirlo gets a yellow card for a foul on Forrestieri.

Well, it seems Milan will take this victory, unless Siena decides otherwise.  Twelve more minutes and either Milan keeps this score, make another goal or Siena equalizes the score.

In the 82nd minute, Referee Daniele Orsato gives a RED CARD to Vergassola for "fallo di mano" on Inzaghi.

In the 88th minute, Clarence Seedorf made a terrific save when Siena almost equalized the score with a headers from Frick.  Wow, it would have been a nightmare for Milan losing the 3 points in the end of the match!

Well, match is over.  I might say that Milan was better in the second half. Siena slowly lost their drive and concentration after Paloschi's goal.  This is certainly one of the most important for Milan who are just 2 points away from the fourth postion that guarantee their pass to the next UEFA Champions League.  Fiorentina right now has the fourth position.  Hey, the Twenty Third Round will be decisive for Milan and Fiorentina.

I am in heaven Anna, this is great to see Milan winning in a row. I agree with you that Kaka was missed and also that Kalac should have more playing time. Regarding your question if I like the result, i say yes, but did not convinced me much. I expect more goals from Milan and better strategy in the midfield. What's your take?

What a joy, I just saw CARLO ANCELOTTI in La Domenica Sportiva! Wow, he rarely visits the show. An excellent discovery "PALOSCHI." Milan can have an Italian striker to combine with Pato. Both young players will be AN ASSET for Milan. Sure, I expected more goals too. I will say RONALDO was not ready to play, he had a bad match. Inzaghi, he did try and was more alert.

Wow! What a first touch in the game by ALBERTO PALOSCHI. He really broke the hearts of Siena fans. I hope Paloschi turns out to be a star who makes the National team because Italy can use some great strikers.

Siena put up a valiant effort, but Milan showed its class in winning.
