RESULTS Week 21 Serie A: AC SIENA 3 - 0 AS ROMA Goals by Vergassola, Tonetto and Frick "Unbelievable Roma has fallen!"

SIENA HUMILIATES ROMA WITH A GOLEADA!!

                                           43' Max Tonetto (own goal)

91' Mario Frick out, Alberto in         79' Daniele De Rossi out, Alberto Aquilani in

What can I say about this result? Technically, Roma's lineup before the match was superior. However, hello, surprise, Siena just proved everybody the opposite!  Simply, the Roman gladiators could not find the way to the net and see their distance with Inter increase. Inter beat Empoli, therefore, with Roma defeat the distance is 8 points.

It's a historical humiliation.  Siena the so-called small team found the magic formula to beat the great Roma!

A superb triumph for Siena coach Mario Beretta and his men who believed in the dream. Siena just annulled Super Totti, Mancini, and Perrotta. With t
hese 3 points, Siena avoids the dreaded relegation zone.

In the 10th minute, Siena gets a corner kick, Jarolim shoots and Roma defender Matteo Ferrari clear the danger. Unluckily, the ball falls right into the path of Siena midfielder Vergassola who without hesitation blast Roma goalkeeper Doni.

In the 43rd minute, a cold shower for the Roman gladiators when Roma goalkeeper saves a ball from De Ceglie. However, the ball hits defender Philippe Mexes, then Max Tonetto who cannot send the ball away and it is an own goal!. Incredible. What a nightmare for Roma.
AC Siena 2 - 0.

Referee Paolo Dondarini whistles the end of the first half. Challenge is for Roma coach Luciano Spalletti to change strategy and equalize the score, if not winning.  Definitely, it has been a brilliant first half for Siena.

In the 83rd minute, it is the final cold shower for Roma. The big Roman Empire has fallen! Mario Frick shoots at the far post of goalkeeper Doni and that's it guys, it's goal.   A dark cloud for the Romans and sunshine for Siena.
AC Siena 3 - 0.

A nightmare for Roma and a major upset. Merits to Siena who won fair and square.

I refuse to believe this yet. Still Roma can make it because Inter has struggled in the last 3 matches.

Suri, imagine if I were shocked seeing the entire match without seeing ROMA reacting as gladiators, I can imagine you being such a Totti fan. But don't panic, I think Roma still can catch Inter. They are slowing down and suffering with the last 3 victories. Keep your hope high, hey, I am.

By the way, I posted your preview on Roma - Catania.
