What's at stake? Everything is at stake! The main objective of AC MILAN for the 2007 Season is not only to reach the 2007 FINAL FIFA Club World Cup, but to win it! That's what is at stake.  Milan has no other option than winning today to reach the final with the Argentinian team Boca Juniors.

Everything is set for the big Semifinal FIFA World Club match: AC Milan the European champion and the Urawa Red Diamonds champion of Asia who will reach the final against the South American champion BOCA JUNIORS. Here is Milan starting lineup: from left to right Dida, Ambrosini, Oddo, Kaladze, Gilardino, Nesta, and Seedorf. Bottom: Jankulovski, Pirlo, Gattuso, and Kaka.

Referee Jorge Larrionda from Uruguay whistles the beginning of the match.  FORZA MILAN!!!!!

Here we go with the rollercoaster of emotions!  In the 2nd minute, defender Marek Jankulovski sends a long ball to forward Alberto Gilardino and the ball goes out.  Though he missed it. It seems Ancelotti opted for an aggressive strategy which is good, just what we want. A determined Milan not a a defensive team but going all for it.

Ooops, am I speaking too soon? wow, URAWA first clear chance for goal in the very 3rd minute!  Good our defender Alessandro Nesta is there to stop Urawa forward Nagai.  GREAT NESTA!

Oh no, bad news for Milan, in the 6th minute, Alessandro Nesta gets a yellow card for a foul on Urawa defender Tulio. This might condition NESTA's performance. It is too early to get a yellow card.  Let's hope for the best.  Come on Nesta.

The stadium is just a fortress of URAWA, what a superb show supporting their home team. Japanese fans are also great Milan fans but right now their support is for URAWA.

Japanese fans showing KAKA their admiration "sempre presente, grande, ti amo" (Always present, you are great, I love you!)

Up to this moment, URAWA seems controlling the match.  Will Milan overcome the pressure?  Can Milan take control of the match?  we will see... Milan must keep focus and not be intimidated.

Match is crucial and both coaches are standing up checking their team.  It's becoming a tight match.

In the 9th minute, Urawa's Brazilian boy Washington moves toward the area but not so fast because NESTA intercepted him. Great for Nesta!

Milan counterattack. Defender Marek Jankulovski sends a cross to Alberto Gilardino, oh noooo,  Urawa defender Tsuboi commits a foul on GILA.

In the 11th minute, Kaka makes a great solo run on the right side only to be stopped by Urawa midfielder Abe!

In the 13th minute, Andrea Pirlo shoots a free kick from outside the area directly to the net but Urawa goalkeeper Tsuzuki saves and its a corner kick for Milan.

This Tsuzuki is proving a good goalkeeper!

In the 14th minute,  Andrea Pirlo takes the corner kick, wow, Massimo Ambrosini missed a clear chance with a header over the bar!

Well, MILAN is taking control of the match!  Good, it seems the pressure is not affecting Milan. Great!

In the 16th minute, Massimo Oddo  sends a cross to Kaka inside the area but the ball goes too long!. Great effort. Come on guys!

In the 31st minute, midfielder Massimo Ambrosini shoots from the edge of the area, oh no, the ball is cleared!

Up to the 32nd minute, Milan has 63% ball possession and Urawa 37%.  Clearly, Milan is controlling the match. Problem is not converting any goals yet!

In the 36th minute, Musica and Magia wonder boy KAKA sends a long pass to Gilardino on the edge of the area.

In the 37th minute, Urawa reacts and Takahito shoots to the net, DIDA is ready, and the ball goes way over the bar!

In the 39th minute, Massimo Oddo sends a cross for Gilardino in the area  but lost control!!!! A wasted opportunity to open the score.

In the 41st minute, Urawa Keita sends a powerful shot right through the middle!  UFFAAAA good, an easy catch for Milan goalkeeper DIDA.

In the 44th minute, Marek Jankulovski has an opportunity to score before the end of the first half.... oh noooo... Goalkeeper Tsuzuki saves!

In the 45th minute, Referee Jorge Larrionda signals one minute stoppage time.

Oh well, first half ends goalless but with a brilliant MILAN! Milan is playing like a champion, only missing the goals!

Milan coach ANCELOTTI not happy with this 0 - 0.  Let's hope Ancelotti finds the right strategy for the second half. Ancelotti knows this is it, is either now or never.

Time for the second half guys.  Let's unite in prayer for our Milan.

hey, a tough return from both sides.

In the 52nd minute, Urawa midfielder Yuki Abe gets a yellow card for a foul on our beloved Andrea Pirlo!!!

In the 53rd minute, Massimo Oddo,  shoots to the far post... oh no..... almost a goal! the ball goes out!

In the 56th minute, danger guys,,,, midfielder Yuki Abe shoots through the middle right to Milan's net!  DIDA is alert and makes a save while our great NESTA clears the ball away. Oh what an alarming move!!!!  I cannot imagine Milan losing, no, no, no, no, and no. I refuse a defeat. Milan must win! should win!

In the 60th minute, Milan gets a corner kick, time for who, ??? oh oh, Seedorf? yes, he shoots only to find Urawa Brazilian Washington to head the ball out clearing Milan's possibility to score!

I am going nuts!  Come on guys!  Come on MILANNNNN, come on!!!!  This is our only chance to reach the final!!!! We need to keep pressuring!  Keep attacking don't go back to defense... Come on....  We must win, we must win!

In the 63rd minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his first substitution:  Alberto Gilardino out, Filippo Inzaghi in.
Well done GILA!  You did great.  Missed a couple of opportunities, but in the overall you did great!

In the 68th minute, Musica and magia wonder boy KAKA goes inside the area, oh no, mamma mia!  He is blocked by Tsuboi.

Wait... MUSICA AND MAGIAAAAAAAAA yes, yes, Kaka  sends an assist to Clarence Seedorf shooting  to blast Urawa's net! It's goalllllllll...

Clarence Seedorf taking Milan to the final!  What a superb combo KAKA - SEEDORF, excellent. Right on!   Great guys!

Oh what a beautiful morning!   Milan is winning, Milan is in the final!!!! Revenge time against Boca Juniors is set!
Urawa Red Diamonds 0 -  1 AC Milan

Perfect combination byMilan's dynamic duo KAKA and Seedorf!  Both celebrate their happiness for this meaningful goal. It is a valuable assist from the Golden Boy Musica Magia!!!

Inzaghi with few minutes in the field is flying!  Can he score? I hope so!

In the 76th minute, Urawa Coach substitutes Marcus Tulio Tanaka for Nobuhisa Yamada.

Say what! wait a minute, this Yamada just entered and already shooting!!!!! Oh no,  is this "Super Yamada?" Oh oh, Milan better be alert. It took Yamada only 1 minute to start making a difference!

In the 80th minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his second substitution: Marek Jankulovski is out, great legend Captain Paolo Maldini is in.  Hip hip hurrah!  Sei forte Maldini!
Jankulovski well done too!

In the 82nd minute, Urawa is not giving up and fighting back. Gets a corner kick. Yuichiro Nagai shoots but luckily for Milan Hasebe misses the target. wow, this is madness!   8 more minutes and Milan is in the final.

The match is going nuts. Both fighting, Milan wanting to score the second goal and Urawa to equalize the match. Mamma mia! Aiuto!!!

In the 83rd minute, Urawa Nene gets a yellow card.

In the 84th minute, time for Andrea Pirlo' s free kick from the edge of the area, uuuffffaaaaa noooooo the ball is out! Almost a goal!  HELP!!!!!!

In the 85th minute, Musica and Magia boy KAKA makes his famous SOLO RUN, oh  how I love seeing him Run!!!!
GO KAKAAAA, Gooooo, geee Urawa is closing all spaces, no choice but for Kaka to pass the ball to Andrea Pirlo, shoots and deflected for a corner.!  uffaaa, we almost had the second goal! But great effort from KAKA.

Guys come on, 5 more minutes!!!!  Resist!

In the 87th minute, again the great COMBO Kaka - Seedorf!  Seedorf shoots and oh nooooooo the ball is out!!!!! No, help! help!  It's a rollercoaster of madness!

Milan is fighting, 11 roaring lions with the BIG LION Gennaro Gattuso defending Milan's honor against Urawa Red Diamonds who are also fighting back!!!!!  Come on Gattuso!

No, I can't finish watching the match! Going just crazy... in the 88th minute, Massimo Ambrosini sends a ball to Inzaghi who is desperate to score but the ball is too long!  SOME BODY HELPPPPPPP.... I love my MILAN, my Milan is playing like Champion again!!!!

In the 89th minute, Referee Jorge Larrionda signals 3 minute stoppage time.
Guys this is almost done!  But Urawa is pressuring!  Let's keep praying for these final minutes! GO MILAN, GO MILAN.

In the 92nd minute, Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti makes his third substitution: Clarence Seedorf is out, Cristian Brocchi is in.  WELL DONE SEEDORF!  THANK YOU !  GRAZIE MILLE!   CI HAI PORTATO IN FINALE!  Bravo! CHAPEAU!!!
Good job Seedorf, I knew we can count on you.

That's it guys!  MILAN DID IT !   MILAN WoN!  WE MADE IT!   IT's OVER!!!
Now, we are back in the FINAL!!!
Revenge time against Boca Juniors!
Siamo noi, siamo noi i campioni del mondo siamo noi!  (We are the champions!)

Thanks MILAN, grazie mille, thanks for playing like Champions and for giving us this happiness!

Milan played like champs. They made it a little closer for my nerves than I was hoping but they dominated the game, especially on defense. I do give the Red Diamonds credit, they nearly tied the game. The commentator had an interesting comment--he thought the Red Diamonds would be a tougher opponent for Milan than Boca.

Kenntak I agree. This time our MILAN after the first 15 minutes played like Champs. Defense, despite Nesta, receiving an early card did not affect the defense. Nesta was superb! I was happy, only ODDO was a bit down. In the overall, our MILAN was great and I was so proud when watching them. I love KAKA solo impromptu and SEEDORF, woww, just awesome.

Red Diamonds did well the first 15 minutes, after, they arrived tired towards the end. Still, they did well.
