2007 FINAL FIFA Club World Cup Boca Juniors - AC Milan "Both Have 3 World Cups, Who Will Win the Fourth World Club Cup?"

By Anna Italia

THE BIG DUEL, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2007 at the International Stadium of Yokohama, Japan

An Appointment with history: Second Time AC Milan - Boca Juniors for World Club Supremacy!

Once again AC MILAN accomplished the impossible!  Despite being in the 10th position of the Italian Soccer Serie A, it is a fact that among the European teams, MILAN is the king in International competitions, currently holding the 2007 UEFA Super Cup and the 2006-2007 Champions League.  AC Milan beat Urawa Red Diamonds and is now in the 2007 FIFA Final Club World Cup against Boca Juniors!

Here is a duel, a battle among AC Milan and Boca Juniors, both winning 3 World Club Cups and wanting to win the Fourth Cup to determine who is who.  It is a duel that Legendary Milan Captain Paolo Maldini is looking forward to settle score.

Will AC Milan the European Champions win it or will it be the South American Boca Juniors? Winning will mean the team being at the top of the world, la crème de la crème! Milan has waited patiently 4 years for this moment in history when losing in 2003 in penalties against Boca Juniors. It is about time to tell Boca Juniors who is the boss, right?

Both Teams Have 3 World Cup

              AC Milan Victories
Who will win the Fourth World Cup?

              Boca Juniors Victories
 1969 - AC Milan 3  - 0  Estudiantes
             Estudiantes 2 - 1 Milan

 1977: Boca Juniors 2 - 2 Borussia Monchengladbach
            Borussia M. 0 - 3 Boca Juniors

 1989:  AC Milan - 1 - 0 Atletico N. Medellin

 2000: Boca Juniors 2 - 1 Real Madrid

 1990:  AC Milan  3 - 0 Olimpia Assuncion
 2003: AC Milan 1 - 1 Boca Juniors
After penalties Milan 1 - 3 Boca Juniors

The other 4 teams having three victories are:  Real Maldrid, San Paolo, Nacional and Penarol, who did not take part in this edition.

Hopefully, with concentration and determination, AC Milan can win not only the Fourth World Club Cup, but also breaking other records:

Marco Cafu could become the only World Champion to win the Cup both in a South American team (San Paolo in 1992 and 1993) and a European team.

- Paolo Maldini will play his sixth final, after winning two in 1989 and 1990 and the other three he lost in 1993, 1994 and 2003.

- Pippo Inzaghi could become the only player to score in all competitions, if he scores in the final.

Yet, winning will required THE ENTIRE TEAM.  All Milan players deserve this award, especially Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti and Milan President  Silvio Berlusconi.  Most of all, it is a duty, it is in Milan's DNA to win against all odds in International competitions.

Among the curiosities, after FIFA changed the Intercontinental Cup with the current FIFA Club World Cup, the champions have been Brazilians Internacional last year and San Paolo the previous year.

Will Milan rewrite history on Sunday, December 16?  Will it be the first Italian team to win the FIFA World Club Cup?

basically what Seedorf is saying that after his goal, he went to celebrate with KAKA because he considers that the goal belong to both of them and that it was a nice gesture. Regarding Boca Juniors he says he does not consider it a REVENGE because they are not the same players but that is a possibility to braing home the Trophy that they lost in penalties in 2003.
