AC Milan Defender CAFU Playing the Intercontinental Cup Final 3 Times "I never thought this country would mean this much to me" on JAPAN 2007 FIFA Club World Cup

By Anna Italia

What a moment for our Cafu!!!

Cafu
has played the Intercontinental Cup final on three occasions.  He won twice  twice with the Brazilian team San Paolo in 1992 and 1993.

Cafu  is the only one who has played it with a team from Europe as well as from South America. Great for Cafu! Incredible, he seems so young and playing with lots of energy.

Another great moment for Cafu in relation to Japan was in 2002.  CAFU lifted the World Cup with Brazil, as captain. If you want to know more about CAFU and his experience, you may read his interview here:  Fifa.com

Regarding the Semi final match URAWA RED DIAMONDS - AC MILAN, Cafu says:

'I really hope to win with Milan. Each time I come to Japan I feel the same things. I remember the World Cup final and lifting the trophy. It's an image to Brazilian people will never forget, and neither will I. I never thought this country would mean this much to me, it was impossible to imagine all this when I was a kid in Brazil.'
