AC Milan Coach Carlo Ancelotti and Alessandro Nesta PRESS Conference on the Eve of the Semifinal URAWA RED - AC MILAN "Urawa will play a very aggressive game"

YOKOHAMA  (acmilan.com) – Japan 4pm, 8am in Italy. Carlo Ancelotti and Sandro Nesta arrive at the "Media Conference" of the International stadium of Yokohama. It's the meeting with the press on the eve of the fifth World Cup game.

Carlo Ancelotti is immediately asked about Ronaldo:

"We took the decision this morning, with the doctors and with him. We verified that there is no chance of recovery for Sunday, therefore we have removed him from the list. On the medical matters, the only evaluations which matter are those of the doctors. We have waited for Ronaldo and we have decided this with regret. Ronaldo will recover, he will have time to do so. At this point, after the break and the 13th of January there's Milan-Napoli, with the re-start of Serie A."

The the Milan coach is asked 'stimulating' questions on an interest by Milan for Mourinho: the British questions come to speculate a 'pre-contract':

"I," replied the Milan coach Carlo Ancelotti, "I have a contract with Milan until 2010 with this club and I want to arrive until the end, and hopefully there's the possibility to go further. And anyway I think that rather than an eventual choice by Milan in him, it's his request to come here. It's different..." Then someone asks Sandro Nesta if he prefers to be coached by Ancelotti and Mourinho: "I cannot reply," jokes Sandro, "Ancelotti is here by my side, but in these years we have built an important rapport with him. He knows how to get the best out of us by leaving us quiet. Too quiet? The results speak clearly..."

The other issues, Carlo Ancelotti:

"Urawa will play a very aggressive game, they will try to cover well in the defensive phase and will have a lot of drive in the midfield. Washington is an excellent attacker, he has experience, quality and knows how to play these games, but Urawa is not just him. They are good, also Suzuki, Abe and Asebe. The environment will be on their side and they will take strength from this to play a great game.

The competition with two legs is different from one straight final game in the Intercontinental, in any case we are happy to be able to measure ourselves with the Japanese football, even though our dream is the final. In the meantime I must say that the enthusiasm which surrounds football in this country is nice. There are many children who play. During training many came to watch us and with enthusiasm, but always wih the respect towards our work.

Okada? The national team coach is a friend and last night we were together for dinner. I wish him to reach the World Cup qualification. We met when I was at Juventus and he came twice also at Milanello. Inzaghi in both games? Could be, even though for the attackers the fundamental component is the sharpness and lucidity and in this case it could be less in the second game. But let's not make any calculations, now let's only think about the semi-final."

Then Sandro Nesta:

"We think that we prepared ourselves in the best possible way. Four years ago we came here in seven, with most of the players arriving a few days before the game. Recovering the jet lag is difficult, but we trained well, also with physical work.

Wasinghton? He's big, but also good technique and is their only points of reference in attack. The others all move and move forward. Many of us won a lot, but never this trophy. It would be the cherry on top of our career. We give to the Club World Cup the same importance which is given by the club, in any case right now for us everything is calm, as we left the tension back in Italy. I must say that the Japanese population respects the rules and there's an atmosphere which I like.

Ronaldo? He won so much, he played so many finals...the wheel turns, at times the satisfactions arrive when you least expect them. Ronaldo will return and will return to win. This World Cup like 2006? This is a great competition which I'm glad to be playing, but that World Cup was very particular and no one will give it back to me. However, everything is in the past now, it had to go that way..."

Milan99 Gilardino did a fair game, he missed some chances for scoring. The best, despite the yellow card was NESTA even sharper than Pirlo.
