Week 14 - Fourteenth Round Serie A RESULTS Italian Serie A TIM 2007 - 2008 Fixtures and Results for Matchday 14 AS ROMA 2 - 1 UDINESE Goals by Juan, Taddei, and Quagliarella
ROMA 2 - 1 UDINESE

11' Juan 12' Fabio Quagliarella
26' R. Taddei
Serie A Standing Before the Match: AS Roma 2nd position, 25 points
Udinese 3rd position, 25 points
The challenge for AS Roma and Udinese was to win to continue their race for the Scudetto behind the unstoppable FC Inter. With the defeat of Fiorentina against Inter and Roma's victory against Udinese, Roma is now in the second position of the Serie A Standings with 28 points, just 3 points behind Inter, and followed by FC Juventus with 26 points. Udinese descended 1 position, from the 3rd to the 4th position with 25 points. Simply put, Udinese failed the challenge and remained with 9 players!
Although the great news was the return of Captain Francesco Totti, at the end, Spalletti did not include him in the match. Spalletti preferred to play with one forward Mirko Vucinic.
Clearly, Roma Coach Luciano Spalletti made the right decision when opting for the 4-2-3-1 formation and Mirko Vucinic as the sole striker, while Udinese Coach Pasquale Marino opted for the 3-4-3 formation. Apparently, Udinese had a more offensive attack with 3 forwards Simone Pepe, Fabio Quagliarella, and Antonio Di Natale. Problem was not executing the strategy on the field. To make matters worst, the last 15 minutes became a grueling fight.
In the 78' minute Pinzi got a red card. Just a minute later, in the 79th minute, Dossena gets a red card too! Wow, UDINESE remaining with 9 players and losing 2-1.

You know what I'm thinking of now? Quagliarella SHOULD MOVE TO ROMA??? I don't know how that would sound to Roma fans? but it sound like a good Idea to me

Milan99 to Roma? Quagliarella? Not a good idea.... unless Mancini goes out... it is just confusing. I rather see Quagliarella with Milan, Lazio, Palermo.
