                                               DYNAMO KIEV 1  - 4  AS ROMA

                                                              63' I. Bangoura                        4' Mirko Vucinic
                                                                                                            32' Ludovic Giuly
                                                                                                            36' Mirko Vucinic
                                                                                                            78' Mirko Vucinic

Although AS Roma is without their main key symbol Captain Francesco Totti, Roma can win this match.  A victory will take them to 10 points.  Challenge will be for forward Mirko Vucinic to take Roma by the hand and deliver goals.

                                                 Standing ovation for MIRKO VUCINIC!

Not only Vucinic accomplished the challenge to deliver a goal, but he did a HAT TRICK!!!!  Roma passed to the last sixteen of the Champions League. The gladiators beat Dynamo in Rome and in Ukraine.  Next match for Roma will be against Manchester United, who barely won in the last minutes against Sporting.

Obviously, Coach Luciano Spalletti found the right formation for this match.  In the 4th minute, it was forward Mirko Vucinic to open the score and silenced the Olympiskiy Stadium.  Fenerbahce 0 - 1 AS Roma.

Famous and rejuvenated Roma Defender Christian Panucci tried a header from close range, this time no luck, and the  ball went out. Panucci labeled "Head Master" by my frequent commentator Milan99, proved to be a key player today.

Doni was superb!  He made many saves. For example, in the 12th minute, Dynamo almost scored when Fenerbahce midfielder Rincon almost equalized the result with a shot from 15 yards. This would have been a motivation for Dynamo. Thankfully for Roma, goalkeeper Doni cleared and sends for a corner.

In the 32nd minute, Frenchman Ludovic Giuly gives Roma a second goal.  Clearly, Roma was dominating the match. Giuly found the precious spot in front of the net, dribbled past goalkeeper Rybka and blasted the ball. The gladiators showed determination, character, and technical superiority. Fenerbahce 0 - 2 AS Roma.

Far from playing as "visitors," Roma played like being at home!  Total domination.  Fenerbahce fans and players were in shock seeing a determined Roma. Even before getting a break to recover energy, Roma scored again.  In the 36th minute, again, MIRKO VUCINIC scored thanks to Ludovic Giuly's assist. Fenerbahce 0 - 3 AS Roma.

It was just a ONE WAY match.  Tactics, ball possession, everything in favor of Roma.  First half ends with a tremendous defeat for Fenerbahce and a happy Roma.

Although Dynamo returned more energized in the second half, it was not enough to dominate Roma. The gladiators were not willing to let escape this valuable victory.  A defeat for Roma was not ideally, if considering that the next match was the top leader Manchester United.  This was enough motivation for Roma to play well without losing concentration.

A small error cost Roma a goal. In the 63rd minute, Dynamo shortens the distance.  Forward Bangoura profit from a mistake of Roma defender Juan. Bangoura shoots from 14 meters and there it went... the ball passed Roma goalkeeper Doni.  Fenerbahce 1 - 3 AS Roma.

In the 78th minute, Vucinic makes his third goal from 17 meters after an assist by Tonetto!  A hat trick!  Fenerbahce 1 - 4 AS Roma.

Incredible, a convincing victory by the gladiators despite the absences of Captain Francesco Totti and defender Philippe Mexes.  Spalletti read the match well and got the right formation.  A perfect "picnic" for Roma in Dynamo.  Roma now has 10 points, and Manchester United 15.  Both guaranteeing their pass to the Sixteen Champions League. Congratulations to Roma fans.

Kenntak Roma did a SUPERB job. I was so proud of ROMA and how they proved that TEAM SPIRIT was stronger. Sure, I would have loved TOTTI playing, but what it counts is TEAM SPIRIT. Roma played united, awesome. Mirko Vucinic did not let Italians down.

    My respect to VUCINIC.
By the way, Kenntak, I have not seen your comments on Benfica 1-1 Milan...
