Incredible, Fiorentina could not score a single goal! This is a major blow for Coach Cesare Prandelli who had to miss this match for a last minute illness "kidney stones". The challenge for Fiorentina was to win this match to shorten the distance with FC Inter. Inter has now 28 points and Fiorentina remained with 24 points. It was not a bright day neither for Fiorentina assistant manager Gabriele Pin nor for the players.
Negative point is that Riccardo Montolivo will miss the next match too after getting a yellow card. Fiorentina's near future is looking somber as next week is the UEFA Champions League match.
Bobo Vieri tried to open the score, but Reggina goalkeeper was not afraid to stop the tank "Bobo Vieri."
Reggina at least managed to keep a clean sheet and avoided a Goleada as many expected. New Reggina Coach Ulivieri might consider this draw a success, while for Fiorentina coach Prandelli this draw seems as a a defeat.
