12 Countries Already Qualified for EURO 2008 among them ITALY!!!!!

Here is the list of the 12 countries already qualified for the big appointment: EURO 2008. Let's take pride about ITALY qualification thanks to the victory against Scotland that has a name and last name: Christian Panucci! Actually, the entire team deserves recognition and especially Italian Head Coach Roberto Donadoni who broke Italy's record of not making it to the European Competition after winning a World Cup like that in 1982.
Austria and Switzerland are already qualified being the host nations.

Portugal is a good team, I was cheering for them in the World Cup (except if they were to play Italy of course). As an aside, I recall one of the Portuguese players being happy that Italy won the World Cup because, as he stated, Italy is a fellow Southern European country.

Kenntak, I got into Portugal from that world cup, I still love them with or without those players. I loved them as PORTUGAL not only as a national team. I'd like to know which player your talking about???

Hey milan99,
and I'm waiting for England!!! The premiership... Chelsea players. The way they played their qualifying games they don't deserve to go thru- they're just lucky Israel did them a favor or should I say Goran did. With Beckham, I hope they go thru.
and for the rest of the readers
Portugal is just a group of individual players who can barely score more than 1 goal at home. Last game against Armenia only 1 shot on goal from mighty Cristiano Ronaldo and only in the 2nd half!!! After scoring 2 against Blackburn I would have booed him like the home crowd did. Sincerely I don't think Portugal has what it takes to go thru and compete with the big teams like France, Italy, England.

I would have wanted Serbia from Group A to go thru and not Poland. What big player does POland have, sure they're growing but can they stand a big tournament like the Euro2008? Serbia has Stankovic and others. I was more curious to see how Serbia does. They're even strong in the under 21 tournament.

Ricardo, I guess you forgot what happen in the world cup? Did you see Portugal vs England??? for me Portugal are better than England because England relay on their MID more than the others positions, Like they hardly could score when Owen left for injury, Crouch is good but Owen is the #1 scorer for England without him England can't score much at all. I TOTALLY respect your opinion, it just happen that we can't agree much(and I actually like to argue in football

I on the other hand don't like to argue about soccer it's not fun for me. But I will answer with my opinions your points:
1- tough to go back to the world cup because like 1/2 the players don't play under Scolari anymore. There's a "new generation" taking over the starting line-up like J Moutinho, M Veloso, Abel from Sporting (the ones in the Roma CL group). Pauleta and Figo retired now there are new strikers like Nani, Almeida Makulula and famous Nuno Gomes. I focus on the team that plays in the qualifying games after the world cup. Portugal can't score much either in the latest games. CRonaldo hasn't been able to score in the last 2 matches. I'll stop there.
2- Ricardo the gk is great - or should I say was. He's making too many costly mistakes and playing for Betis in Spain hasn't helped him improve. He's not in top shape anymore. Quim is in better shape right now and deserves to be in the starting line-up.
