MILAN HAVE REDEEMED THEMSELVES!!!!
STRAMERITATTA VITTORIA!
It was SHOWTIME baby, showtime by the ROSSONERI!
The challege for AC Milan was not only to win, but win convincingly. Did they accomplish the challenge? Yes!
The RED AND BLACK hurricane arrived at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium to demolish GENOA with 5 goals without conceding any.
Before the match, Sampdoria coach Walter Mazzarri said: "We will find an angry adversary, very motivated and concentrated. A team who are in form, because despite the results Milan still play well. There's no advantage for us: we have to give everything we have and more to hope for a positive result.
You bet Mazzarri now realized that AC MILAN were really angry and desperately needing a victory to redeem themselves. Milan had only one mission: WIN, period.
The men of Carlo Ancelotti broke Sampdoria's records of not conceding a goal at home. Yet, today, they conceded 5 goals. Ouch.
Right at the moment when Refereee Nicola Ayroldi whistles the kick off, nobody knew the outcome. We were in for a tremendous rollercoaster full of emotions for Milan fan and a disaster for Sampdoria fans.
The first minutes demonstrated an intense MILAN with the desire to score and find the "magic potion" to get the 3 points by winning convincingly.
Milan midfielder Andrea Pirlo sends a long ball to forward Alberto Gilardino in the very first minute, while Sampdoria responded with a long shot by Claudio Belluci but stopped by Milan goalkeeper Nelson Dida.
Few minutes later, it was Milan defender Alessandro Nesta to signal Gilardino who tries to head the ball, but Sampdoria were not ready to receive the first goal. So far, it is a win win for any of the team.
In the 11th minute, Milan gets a corner kick. Here comes the great Milan's architect Andrea Pirlo sending a ball to Kakha Kaladze scaring Sampdoria goalkeeper Castellazzi when he heads the ball and makes a save. This is the first clear opportunity to goal for the men of Ancelotti who get another corner.
Despite great efforts from both team, the first half ends with a 0-0....
Either Ancelotti or Berlusconi or whoever gives Milan players a motivational lecture to wake them up or this will be a Sampdoria victory. Can Milan afford the defeat? NO. How about a draw? NO. How about a victory? YES, they must.
The second half starts with a more determined Milan.
The first golf comes in the 47th minute, right at the beginning of the second half with the wonder Brazilian boy MUSICA AND MAGIA Kaka. Andrea Pirlo sends the ball forward for Alberto Gilardino and then Gilardino just sends the ball from the right to find KAKA... and there it goes... GOOOOOAAAAALLLLLL Sampdoria 0 - 1 AC Milan.
The second goal again sees the protagonism of the great Milan architect and brains on the pitch ANDREA PIRLO. PIrlo sends a long ball to Gilardino when Sampdoria goalkeeper Castellazzi comes out, and a minute later in the 53rd minute Gilardino - the awaken blessed Gilardino - heads on a cross from the left by Clarence Seedorf and there you go... Castellazzi cannot do anything but start praying. Sampdoria 0 - 2 AC Milan.
It is a dream come true for Milan and their fans... Milan winning with 2 goals and a desperate Sampdoria coach Mazzarri trying to figure out what can he change to shorten the distance.
Not having enough time to even sketch the plan when seven minutes later again ANDREA PIRLO makes a brilliant move. Pirlo sends a free kick right from the edge of the area but goes wide, then Serghino sends the ball from the left and Alberto Gilardino controls the ball takes a quick glance, turns, and SHOOOOOOOTTTTTTT there he comes "the blessed one"... Gilardino scored a doppietta.... a second goal meaning Sampdoria 0 - 3 AC Milan. The Stadium is speechless only Milan fans cheer and rejoice.
Sampdoria players are just losing control. Unfortunately, they are paying the price with a desperate Milan in need to win to reclaim their status of Champions.
Sampdoria keep trying but not even finding the first goal... Then, in the 76th minute the newly entered Frenchman Yoann Gourcuff responds to a cross from Clarence Seedorf in the middle of the area and just profitting with this opportunity voila' he shoots and blasts goalkeeper Castellazzi, who must have a headache by now. Incredible, just unbelievable... Milan is giving a big showtime! It is Sampdoria 0 - 4 AC Milan.
This is what Milan fans needed and what the team needed to lift their morale. It is a big party time. With only 15 more minutes, it might be almost impossible for Sampdoria to equalize the match... This ladies and gentlemen is over, it will be a nightmare if Milan lose. Sampdoria believe in the miracle... If Milan lost in 6 minutes with Liverpool, they can lose here too. Yet, this is not what the men of Ancelotti want. They want to win... and ....
Woww just unbelievable, talking about "6 minutes of pazzia," whe in the 80th minute there is another goal, but not from Sampdoria... It is MILAN's TIME!!! Again, this time is Brocchi sending a cross from the right to Clarence Seedorf who is at the right place and at the right moment to seal this match with a powerful GOOOOAAAALLLLLL... Sampdoria 0 - 5 AC Milan.... just like when Milan defeated Lazio in their home 1-5 destroying goalkeeper Muslera. It is now Sampdoria goalkeeper who needs a revitalizer after conceding 5 goals in one match! Unbelievable.
Ancelotti can breathe and start preparing the next UEFA Champions League match.... Milan have found the "magical potion." In the 82nd minute, Ancelotti decides to give some resting time to Kaka and substitutes him for Cafu. Hey, great job, well done MUSICA AND MAGIA boy.
Ladies and Gentlemen.....
Lady Luck has visited AC Milan and more than luck it was determination, character,
showing that AC MILAN is not a decandent team. Milan is back... the men of Ancelotti are back....
I am sure all Milan fans are celebrating and looking for a brighter future in the Serie A.....
Until next time....... time for Referee Ayroldi to whistle the end of the match in the 92nd minute.

if they can start playing like this at home the should make top 4 by the end of the season. Hopefully the win can motivate them

That's exactly what I said. How come they don't win at home by 4 goals. Gila scored twice at the Champs League match, then came the serie a, and nil. This Milan looks like they only can give one good performance in a match and then become the shadow of themseleves in the following 2 matches. Something's up. Do you think Ancellotti should stay on or move on?

My mind always changes on ancelotti. Ive come to think that he's a good manager but not a great one and that his time is probably up or at least very close to being up.

Patcook I don't think Ancelotti's time in Milan is over. Sure, he does have his bad moment, but it is also the team responsibility to accomplish what they practice during the training sessions. I want to see Ancelotti in Milan at least for another 2 years. So far, he has been able to take Milan from the ashes and winning international awards more than any other coach in Milan. The last European competion winning against all odds was the 2007 UEFA Super Cup. Ancelotti not only works for a salary, but he works in Milan because he feels the team in his heart. Here is the big difference. I can go on and on.... there will be a moment when Ancelotti says no more. That decision will be respected.

Patcook That's what I was thinking!!! I would love to see such a SHOWTIME in San Siro. That will be superb and a reward to Milan fans. Today, I won't make negative comments about Milan because my heart is exploding of joy. Finally, a peaceful moment, we can breathe again.
Sure, the victory must motivate them and keep winning to reach the top 4. Otherwise, they won't make it to Champions League next year. Gilardino... hip hip hurrah!
GILAAAAA hip hip hurrah!!
one more time...
Gilaaaaaaa hip hip hurrah!

i am a little concerned that they might take their foot of the pedal after such a large win

Patcook I hope they don't. It will be another disaster a step back. Milan cannot afford to lose the next 5 matches and wait for Inter, Juventus, Roma, and Fiorentina to lose at least one match. If they keep winning and Milan losing, then, it's CIAO CIAO Serie A. What do you think?

Milan99 cheer up!! Today it's party time!!! MILAN is among the top 10... next week we can go higher... no time for sad faces today but
