Week 9 - Ninth Round Serie A Result Parma 3 - 2 AS Livorno Goals by Castellini, Paci, Morfeo and for Livorno Tavano
By Anna Italia
Will Livorno President Spinelli Fire Coach Camolese after his Second Defeat?
PARMA 3 - 2 AS LIVORNO
9' P. Castellini 23' F. Tavano
54' M. Paci 50' F. Tavano (pen)
74' D. Morfeo
Current Standing after this result:
Parma went from the 18th position to the 15th position with 9 points.
and Livorno remained in the very last position, the 20th with 2 points.
While the two most talked matches AC Milan - AS Roma and Palermo - FC Inter were covering most of the news, this match Parma - AS Livorno was more interesting with 5 goals, compared to none between Palermo-Inter and only 1 goal in San Siro between Milan-Roma!!! As I predicted, Parma was the favorite to win the 3 points.
Now, the main point is not much about Parma's victory, which by the way saved them from the terrible relegation zone, but what will happen with AS Livorno who continue to lose and be in the very last position of the Serie A with only 2 miserable points after changing two coaches compared to the 21 points of the sole leader FC Inter. What a difference! We are talking about 19 points difference! Ouch!
As I said it on my Week 9 - Ninth Round Serie A Preview, it was hard to see how Livorno could have beaten Parma. True, Livorno equalized the score in the 23rd minute with F. Tavano and took the lead in the 50th minute with the same Tavano thanks to a penalty kick. Yet, Livorno could not protect the victory and 4 minutes later, just in the 54th minute Paci equalized the match again for Parma.
In the 74th minute, Morfeo scored the winning goal for Parma, and it was party time for Parma fans while Livorno fans felt a cold shower, including Livorno President Spinelli.
It was suspected that Parma coach Domenico Di Carlo was going to be fired if losing the fourth match. Di Carlo now can breathe easily and relax. He won square and fair.
In the meantime, Livorno's president Aldo Spinelli must continue dialing like crazy his ex forward and star Cristiano Lucarelli to come back. What else can Livorno do? Livorno have changed already 2 coaches in this season. If Livorno continue losing, I am afraid that AS Livorno President Also Spinelli will change this coach sooner or later. Livorno have only 8 goals and received 21 goals! Ouch!
If Cristiano Lucarelli returns from Shakhtar Donetsk, will coach Arrigoni return too? I think so, only if Lucarelli asks him and Spinelli apologizes to Arrigoni.

Hey Anna you got this one right too. I think Arrigoni will return.

Pietro it was predictable. The problem with Livorno is that players are not motivated enough or feel confident with all the changes done by President Spinelli. They are good, goalkeeper Amelia is even in the Italian National Team.... just a matter of bringing peace, unity and most of all harmony in the dressing room. At least, Lucarelli was able to cheer up the team.
